sold and/or fulfilled by Amazon, never third party sellers
This. Always this. First thing I look for when buying.
Avoid third-party like the plague.
going through my purchase history for the last 3 months:: energy drinks, headphones, musli bars, toilet paper, household knives, soap, books, hobby materials, sharpening stone, batteries, toothpaste, scanner, alcohol, bathroom accessories, phone cases and screen covers, toilet cleaner, sd card, toiletries, deodorant, olive oil, gift cards.
Amazon is usually my first price check step. It comes to the door, and i therefore dont need to buy at the shops.
Would be simpler to tell you want I don't buy from Amazon -
recently I've purchased coffee, security cameras, toner, sd cards, 1 coffee machine, moisturiser/sunscreen, pillows, running shoes, powerboard, headphones, a printer…
not a lot in the way of groceries though - coffee and soft drinks mostly.
I had club catch for a trial after buying some dishwasher tabs and found I never used it after that transaction. I always price check my non-perishables when I do my Coles order and there was nothing cheaper so I cancelled it.
With a baby, Amazon Prime is a given - I've even given a year subscription to friends as part of a baby shower gift (and Prime Video was a godsend for night feeding) 15% off S&S nappies and wipes pretty much pays for it. I tend to put things I want in my Wishlist and keep and eye on the price and then have CCC alerts on things that never seem to come on sale so I can catch them if on the rare even they do.
Last couple of months I've bought Omo, Vanish, Feminine Hygiene, dishwashing liquid, floor cleaner, coke, coffee, deodorant, pasta, milo, razor blades, spices that the supermarket or Indian store down the road don't stock and I don't have time to go to the Asian shop.
Random things I just needed - a bath toy bag that stick to the tiles, doculopes for my sewing patterns, a new iron for $7, silicon reusable straws, baby change table pad.
While I don't love some things about amazon, they are sure as hell convenient. When you've got a baby in tow, shopping around to numerous stores is tedious and if they match it and I don't have to pay for shipping then I'm on it.
practically anything
if you find it on amazon and u find it cheaper else where, post it up on ozbargain and amazon will usually drop price pretty soon, happens with lego, woolies and coles discounts
Baby formulas and wipes mostly. I rarely go out with 2 under 2 and I buy in bulk as its just easier. Cant imagine the dirty looks i'd get if I went to the shops and bought 6 tins of formula at once before covid.

Thanks all. Thats heaps of good vibe for Amazon. I have taken Prime for a Month today to try it out finally.
Anything you guys are eyeing for prime day ?
Previous Prime Day sales here have been quite underwhelming compared to the UK one. But you may find some nice deals on things don't already have from power banks to games to random gadgets and stuff.
Enjoy it (as well as Prime Video streaming which is great - has all of Top Gear & Grand Tour episodes among tons more content all included free) but remember never buy from third party sellers. Only Sold or Fulfilled by Amazon.
Third party have slow deliveries or quality issues ?
Both as well as more difficult support if something goes wrong. Amazon's first support is second to none (they'll refund before they get the return). But they won't usually get involved between you and third party sellers.

Amazon Household is available in Australia for sharing Prime between family, like in US ? Or is there a workaround ?
Has been using Amazon prime for one year now and recently start thinking to transfer to club catch. I found items on Catch are cheaper than Amazon because they are overseas stocks and not paying taxes, even small items like toilet blocks. And I personally think Catch has more products than Amazon and cheaper than Amazon, and as cheap as ebay but you get better quality than ebay, sometimes even be cheaper than ebay because you get free postage.
Almost everything from Amazon Prime (sold and/or fulfilled by Amazon, never third party sellers).
Games, books, toiletries, homewares, specific clothing, accessories, bike parts, appliances, phone cases, Coke large packs, hot sauces can't find in stores, batteries, SSDs, shavers, lighting, pet food/toys, you name it.
Never used Catch before.
