Hi today I made a purchase of $69.99 as I tried to use $70 credit I have with Kogan and $20 will expire tomorrow. Kogan did not use my credit but rather charged $69.99 on my credit card. Is anyone understand why and is there anyone has Kogan contact phone number? Thanks
Why Kogan didn't use my credit in the account but charged on my credit card? Anyone has got Kogan's Contact Phone Number?

1300 304 292
thanks brendanm
only voice record now
That'll probably happen at 7:30PM
@brendanm: Brendanm I think I tried around 6pm last night and I just tried it again 14:30pm Friday, only voice record available now.
@jowu15: Not really surprising with Kogan. The only advice I can give you, is not to use Kogan, they are dodgy, and it's not worth the hassle
Was there a check box to tick to use account credit?
Did you have to input a voucher code or similar for your pre existing credit?
When the final payment amount showed $69.99 why didn't you stop there?
Is there a chance it was user error?
Hi MS paint thanks for your question. I did looking for a check box to tick to use account credit but I could not find it, in fact because I did not find the box to tick I went back and see if I missed anything and I could not see it. Yes, I put voucher code and I can see I have $70 in credit in my Kogan account. The reason I went though is because I thought it would use my credit in the account.
You have to go to the checkout screen, when it asks for a payment method, you need to go press the "back" button near payment method and select account credit.
Kogan does their best to hide the credit from you.
this.
I had a similar experience previously.
Was due to signing up to Kogan First Trial during the same checkout, which resulted in my debit card being charged (instead of using the Kogan Credit).
Why Kogan didn't use my credit in the account but charged on my credit card?
So that you come back and buy more.
Hi Jowu - I agree, they make it unintuitive to do so. I had a Kogan Credit and had to a) activate your credit evoucher and then b) choose to use it manually apply it as a form of payment
Once applied, it reduced the remaining payment amount, which I then paid via card.

Doesn't help you get in contact with them, but might help you out next time?

so kogan gets an extra $20 that is why …
Classic Kogan Antics,
Bought a $4.95 30 day sim and they knew i had $250 on my Kogan account yet used my credit card to secretly charge for the second month (even though i'd deleted the information).Try to minimise my contact with kogan where possible.
Admittedly i complained to their call centre and they were fairly receptive and refunded the money.
there is a box to tick in the checkout to use credit.
- Cancel the current order, money will be refunded to card.
- Load your credit in Kogan Account, if haven't done already.
- Place order again and select Kogan Credit checkbox (located left bottom corner of window on desktop) before checkout to apply credit.
Hi Chipchicky can you cancel the order yourself? If so how to do it? I emailed Kogan customer care told them I want to cancel the order within 5 mins I made the order, which was 2-3pm yesterday. I got an email lunchtime today that my order has been shipped.
I remember that there was option to cancel the order right on the order details page once order is placed. Definitely, it was before shipping.
Call/email them again and ask them to redirect it back to there store as you had already asked for cancellation and return the money to card OR return the amount to card without redirection of order and adjust from kogan balance.
Kogan is a love/hate relationship. Sometimes you love thr deals, sometimes you hate thr ditching services.
