Just noticed some changes in Amazon cashback categories today on the Cashrewards web site.
Tools is now 6.00% but Home Improvement is still at 0.00%.
But most tools come under home improvement.
e.g. see this screwdriver bit set:

The category at the top of the listings shows:
Home Improvement › Power & Hand Tools › Power Tool Accessories
So, will this item be eligible for the 6% cashback or not?
I had something similar happen.
I bought a set of roof racks which you'd expect to be in the automotive category which is listed as a 2% cash back, but the menus at the top show home improvement.
The breadcrumb links clearly list it as Automotive › Automotive Accessories › Cargo Management
My transaction tracked as $0
To make matters worse this transaction was linked to the $10 cash back on $30 spend yesterday.
I've opened a ticket with them and I'm hoping they can sort it out post sale
All categories are generally 0% at the end of the day unless cash rewards fix it up for you post sale.
