Suggestions for a Close Beard Trimmer for Detailing and Necklines

Hey Guys,

Looking for suggestions for a really close beard trimmer (preferably <0.4 mm) for detailing and sharp necklines.

I've tried a few, but they are not close so really looking for suggestions for any specific models that you have tried, works great, and would recommend.

  I've got a Wahl Peanut which are trimmer/detailer clippers from Wahl's Pro line, had to order it from a salon supply store. Highly recommend.

      Yeah I find it's closer than the usual consumer trimmers and gives a more even shave.

  Not as close, but philips oneblade does a good job for detailing and necklines for the price. The con is to use it often to keep the clean look.

    Thanks, yes I'm looking at that one. Is it a hassle to use it often and change of blades, etc?

      Not at all. Easy to change and wash. But normally i use every other day to keep the edges crisp

  i'm having similar issue. I figure something like a Wahl trimmer (like the hairdresser) would do the job

    Yeah it looks they(hairdressers) buy some specific models.

    I've a wahl detailer, but it doesn't works so good.

  i just use my philips multigroom 7000 to trim then use the foil razor attachment to get the remainder

  does the job

  I've been looking for a close to zero trimmer for detailing.

  The Renpho is pretty good and gets to 0.15mm.

  Also tried this generic one thinking I could adjust the blades to get really closer to zero gap (shown here) but the blades are not adjustable on the one that I got and cuts about the same as the Renpho. I'm returning this one.

  As a side note, I've had corded Wahls for general trimming but recently bought this Panasonic and it's been good so far.

    Thanks, I got Renpho and Oneblade Pro recommended above on the thread and able to get pretty good results using a combination of these.

  I’m in similar situation but would like one cordless device for trimming and with the edging.
  I did a lot of research and can’t make up my mind. Philips 9000 beard trimmer seems to fit the bill but can you guys confirm if it’s good ?
