Setapp is a subscription service offering access to over 200 paid Mac apps. While I definitely wouldn't recommend it for everyone, as someone who works on Macs I feel like I get my money's worth.

A yearly subscription is usually $107.88 USD. From Stacksocial, it's $69 USD, brought down to $51.75 with code SD25SAVEMAY21. Do note that the purchased code can only be redeemed on a new Setapp account, existing accounts are not eligible.

The full list of apps available on Setapp can be viewed here.

  • Excellent deal

Great deal. Used another coupon 2 days ago and got $10USD off the listed $69 price, so a bit unlucky there. Still, happy with what I paid.

  • Wow I just looked through the list of apps and this is a fantastic deal, great find OP

  • Yeh quite a list of solid apps. Thanks op

Stupid question… After one year if we cancel the subscription, do we get to keep the apps?

Nah fair question, but nope, you lose access once your subscription lapses.

    • You don’t. Many of the apps have outright purchase options so you could assess near the end what apps you actually use and whether you are better off buying them outright.

  • What are some standout apps that are on here? I'm looking at the list and while they look like great apps, it seems like a situation where I don't know what I need.

    • I’m a fan of

      Paste
      Gemini
      Canary Mail
      AdGuard
      Folx
      Numi
      Downie + Permute
      Expressions
      Bartender
      Better Touch Tool
      Cleanshot X
      Yoink
      Unite
      One Switch
      Swish

I actually owned most of those outright already.

Of those Bartender and Better Touch Tool are the two apps I really wouldn’t want to be without on my Mac. They’re both fantastic.

  • It actually for some reason cost me $56.93 as it included $5.18 as tax! oh well still a good deal thanks OP

Set your address to a state in the US that doesn't have sales tax e.g. Florida.

  • I already own (and recommend) Forklift, Downie and iStat menus.

Also own Boom3D but had too many issues with it so don't use any more. Path Finder is worth a look though I moved to Forklift which I prefer.

Nothing else jumping out to me.

This is pretty good value but I will always try to avoid subscription models.
