I purchased a $49 voucher for Back to Basics Massage from Our Deal last year. The voucher expires on 16th Feb this year. I just called the number listed on the voucher (and on their website) to try and make a booking and got a message saying that the number had been disconnected. I then tried using their online booking system, and was unable to. I then used the email address on their website to try and book.
Thinking about all the troubles that have existed with group buy voucher redemptions, I decided to call Our Deal and ask what was going on or if they had alternative contact details for the business. They informed me that the business has actually closed down, and that they are giving full refunds (to credit cards, NOT website credits (unless, of course, that is what you choose) ) to people who have purchased the voucher.
Just thought I'd post up here in case anyone else purchased the voucher and is trying to redeem it.
I don't like the practice of not providing the refund up front… and waiting for people to ring up before giving the refund. Not cool.
