[VIC] Melton Craft 10 Seat Portsea Outdoor Setting - $2999 (Save $1290) @ BBQs & Outdoor

42

Hey All,

Thought I'd share one more from this store. We recently purchased a smoker from here and returned this past weekend looking for an outdoor dining setting. This particular one is heavily discounted and in stock. The saving is almost $1300 from the recommended retail price.

I never understand the pricing of furniture.

Like why can we buy a computer for a few hundred bucks, but a bit of wood/metal/plastic that just sits there costs thousands?

The whole industry feels like racketeering to me.

    • Agree whole heartedly.. i was in the market for an outdoor setting and realised that most of them are rubbish compared to what you pay for them. Ended up realising the huge margins that they make when i imported a very similar looking set made from powdercoated aluminium at about 20% of the price tnrough ali express — and that was including shipping.

Perfect, just what I was looking for as a Tax Deduction for working from home, a meeting table. Cheers OP!

Ridiculous rrp price. No hard feelings OP

    • This table and chairs are made out of powdercoated aluminium and not plastic or timber or steel. As such it has very low maintenance and will not fade, crack, rot, warp/twist or rust. It will last for many, many years and will still look great in 10 years. Similar stuff in Hardley Normal go for $4K.

This table is also extendable too, which itself is a great feature for large gatherings, and then can be made smaller for a single family.

Well worth the money. Show me an equal or better alternative product for a better price?

Ludicrous. Nobody every bought this at $2999.

  • Any decent outdoor furniture shops you guys would recommend?

      Ikea/Bunnings

Decent? Ikea and Bunnings are not classified as decent. More like "budget" and will last 3 to 5 years as they want your repeat business….

I bought a weathered Ikea Applaro outdoor setting off Gumtree, bought it back to life with some of their Varda stain, still going strong 2.5 years later.
