Best place for Kodak deals when the company goes down?

Just to catch you up with the news, Kodak in the US "filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection", which translates to permission to no pay everyone they owe money to while they try to save the company. To be fair, they have some large legal stuff going on that could get them a pile of money from patents, but most companies don't survive this.

So, does anyone have any recommendations for places to watch for heavy discounts on liquidated Kodak stuff? Personally, I'm hoping to pick up some Pulse digital frames nice and cheap.

  • There were Kodak waterproof cameras at my local-ish… Coles for $50 the other week, probably still there. I'd buy one if I used my camera more often. 12MP as well or something good.

  • Unless their cameras have greatly improved, I would avoid. It was only 3 or so years ago, I read people complaining warranty work was done overseas - at your postage cost! - and it took weeks upon weeks to get their cameras back. (Far better brands out there anyway.) I can't imagine they've improved that much - thus the reason for going broke, I expect.

  • My old DC3200 (before it was stolen) used to chew up as much in batteries (cost) as it would of to develop the film (and buy the film as well).

  • Since I've started looking for Kodak kit in the stores I can see why it's failing. No one carries them. Mostly stores are just clearing out old stock. I found a Pulse digital picture frame, last in the shop, power supply missing, box dusty, $170-something. What a joke.
