Would anyone even know the specifics of what membership cards or tickets look like?

Time to print out some generic looking tickets with GWS labelled on it…

In the past (2019 season), when I first tried to redeem this at my local McDs they refused. Next closest McD honoured the deal, but it took consultation and phone calls to management.
After the next home win I returned to my closest McD and they took photos of my ID and tickets. Which has been done by another McD branch too, so if you do try a fake ticket, probably don't go to a McD you regularly use.

BTW, forging a match ticket is a far more serious crime than theft of a hamburger.

        • haha.
Just to clarify - I was trying to redeem using a bonafide match ticket, and have never tried scamming either the AFL nor McDonalds. (Re-reading my above reply might seem to suggest I'd tried what the first commenter suggested).

Saw this on-screen at the game yesterday, but couldn't find any info online about it, unlike WA, Tas and Swans. So messaged Giants on social media and emailed McDonalds, neither have replied.
I nearly always have trouble with these deals without taking evidence.

    • Yes I saw it also on screen at the game yesterday and my kids got excited about a victory burger after the match, but on Ts & Cs you couldn't get it until after 10:30am on Mondays.

It feels like they're making it deliberately hard to find out any information to reduce the numbers claiming - GWS has membership approaching 30K + ~5K opposition fans with ticket to the game, imagine if all hit up Maccas for a free big mac.

      • True, it would reduce sales of food at and around the ground too, if they did ithe give away on the day.
As for promoting it: previously it was really easy to find, online and in the afl magazine, and nearly all the clubs including other codes were included.
And this season it's easy to find the promotion on Swans site, and Tas and WA on the McD site (albeit with slightly different terms for the latter).
Just not so easy for Giants.

do you have an online link to the offer, please?

    • The link in the box is a PDF from the official GWS website terms and conditions of the promotion.

      • Yeah, I downloaded the T&Cs you linked, thanks, but I figured the McD counter staff will be more convinced by a webpage online than a text pdf.
And I must be doing a really bad job of searching 'cos I still can't find any reference to Giants Mac for a Match newer than 2018. The T&Cs you found state 2021, so I must be missing something.
