Greetings everyone, spotted that CR are running an awesome increase for today only at 30% Cashback with a $30 cap, which is an excellent increase for FCL and the biggest I've seen from CR for a while.

I did a look around and found that they're also running $10 off $100 spend using TENOFF, which makes this even better.

Coupon is now listed on CR and is working on FCL :)

Offer Terms:

  • During the 15 hour promo, 30% cashback for First Choice Liquor is capped at $30 in total per member account, irrespective of the number of transactions made. Valid 9am to 11:59pm AEST 24/05/2021

  • Is this Applied to everything incl. beer & spirits?

    • Yep on everything, please ignore the tiered rates as they will adjust when live.

  • +1

    Never too early for alcohol

  • any free delivery?

  • Plus 10% off this is big.

  • Cab anyone recommend a high proof spirit for making limoncello?

I'd typically use polmos but they don't seem to stock it

    • Any cheap vodka would do :)

    • I use 96.6 spirit… 1l of spirit with around 300 gramms of lemon yellow skin (no whites). Mix together and put in dark place for 2 weeks, shaking once daily.
Then bring to boil 1.4l of water with 700 gramm of sugar, cool and mix with infused lemon spirit. Wait for another month and then put it in a freezer and enjoy.

      • Thanks! Can you link the spirit you use? I can't find it

        • I'm afraid you might need to distill and rectify it yourself or find someone who can do this for you. I didn't see any spirit available in the shops locally.

  • What's the sweet spot $$$ to order to maximize cashback with the TENOFF promo code?

    • +2

      122.20x0.90=109.98.
      109.98/1.1x0.30 = 29.99.

      So spend $122.20

      • +6

        $120 as it's $10 off not 10%.

        • +2

          Ah, yes. Missed that

I spent $111 ($101 after 10OFF) and just received the tracking email for the max $30 cashback. So the ideal spend would be $110.

      • CR is after GST so $120 as above is the optimal spend for penny pinchers.

        • +1

After GST but before codes. $110 will yield $30 cashback.

          • @finnybro: Thanks for the explanation, I was wondering why the maths wasn't adding up

Guys, $10 off $100 code TENOFF is now live and working (and listed on Cashrewards). Enjoy the stacking :)

Westpac has $10 off $100 spend sonyou can combine it with that.

    • targetted :(

    • I have 0 of these offers showing up in my account but have subscribed. Anything else I need to do ?

      • Do you have a Westpac credit card? For what it's worth, mine show up in my Choice account, but will only get credited if I use the credit card and not the Debit Mastercard

        • Yeah, have a WBC credit card but not a savings/transaction (choice) account anymore.

          • @knobbs: Dunno if you could contact Westpac about it since they are targeted after all.

I have Who Gives A Crap, Caltex and Adore Beauty as part of my latest round of offers if that helps

    • damn, why don't I get that? I always get ones that I don't want

      • Well that’s the beauty of AI marketing, give you incentive to do what you don’t want .

        • lol, not really though. Not going to buy from businesses I don't want to, but definitely will buy more from ones I do want. AI sucks lol

    • No savings account for me. Just a Westpac Altitude credit card. Probably determined I'm an alcoholic from all the cashback offers I take advantage of. Never bought from First Choice Liquor so probably why I was targetted.

  • Man, i've run out of stuff i want (except the dubliner which apparently is only BWS/DM). Great deals.

  • Any recommendations to take full advantage of this?

    • +2

Not often I recommend overpriced beer but Bent Spoke Crankshaft is worth the price @ ~$68 for a "real case" (24) of "normal" volume (375ml) cans.

The $93 asking price before savings is already close to best price available. Top it up with other purchases for $27 if you want to maximise your discount.

      • LL last week $93 - 10% (LL) - $10 (fb) - $25.37 (SB) = $48.33 🍺 💪

        • +1

Great price. I don't bother with LL deals any longer because I've had to waste my time claiming cb twice in a row, and I dumped SB after their data breech and lack of advice to customers about same.

My cupboard is starting to look like a dan murphys store shelf with all these booze deals since christmas

      Your place for happy hour.

    • Me too. I've still got a stockpile.

    • +2

Ditto…..I've got an embarressingly large stash (of alcohol) from past deals, so much so I have hidden all the boxes in a spare bedroom and covered them with a blanket.

I keep thinking these high cashback offers would be the last. They keep coming .

  • Found Bowmore 12YO Single Malt Scotch discounted for $70, click & collect at Sans Souci NSW.

    After tracked CB of $19.09 = $50.91

    Dan's/Nicks RRP $75

  • Mildara Limestone Coast Cab-Shiraz or the Cabernet are good value. If you buy a case of 12 the price comes down to $94.80 (or $7.90 a bottle) when using the coupon and CB.

  • Chivas 12yo down to $48 is a good option for this.

  • +1

I'm digging all these booze deals going on ATM.

    Gin and single malt ordered.

  • Why do the prices change when buying through cashrewards? If I don't click through CW, the Gage Roads single fin is 56 a cartons, but as soon as I click through CW, it is 58 a carton. I have noticed this on multiple purchases on alcohol recently through all the cashback platforms.

    • +1

I find that with BWS as it adjusts for the state (defaults to Victoria), I think it's the additional cost of the container refund scheme levy on the bottles/cans versus Victoria which doesn't have a scheme but I could be wrong

      • +2

Oh yes that could definitely be it. Thanks all.

        • I've complained in the past to BWS when I'm logged into my account & there's a banner ad showing a particular price but I add it to the cart & price is higher, they just ask for details and refund the difference.

    • +1

Is your store exactly the same with both through CR and directly via the site? Irishness is right, the prices are driven by store or state and may differ depending on the CRS.

For reference, that item is showing as $59 for me in QLD because of the scheme.

      • Ditto in ACT. Price changes for levy.

    • The price should be the same by the time you go to place the order (State based prices)

  • AH DAMNNNN had Revel HAZY IPA in my cart in checkout and someone bought it!!! DAMN

  • Can you use this deal more than one time? And still recieve the 30% want to purchase some things for the old man aswell

    • +8

      Hi Timmmy76,

You can make as many transactions as you like in one account but the total amount of cashback across all the transactions has a maximum cashback of $30.

As an example, if your first transaction of $70 attracts $21 cashback, a subsequent transaction of $70 will attract only $9 cashback, and all further transactions will attract $0 cashback.

      Hope this helps!

    Thanks!

Bought two roku gin, for $102.. with cashback, it'll be 2 for $70.

    Awesome!

  • Already had 12 bottles of vodka (from the Dan Murphys pricing error with white light vodka), now just ordered 2 bottles of Ciroc for essentially $35 each.

    Thanks!

        White Light Vodka Original 700ml X 12 for $265 Delivered (~ $22 Per Bottle) @ Dan Murphy's
        22/06/2020

I bought 12, they only delivered 6 so I called up Dan Murphys and got half refunded.. then I bought another 12 and got sent 6 again.

Called up and they said if I do it again they won't refund me the third time. Lol.

  • Got a bottle of 12YO Balvenie

  • Is there a problem with tracking emails? I got a tracking email for a 25.90 transaction on a 106.85 order.

    • Hi jasonc74,
Could you please check your account and confirm all is in order. If not, please PM me your CR email address and a screenshot of the tracking email and I'll be happy to look into this for you.
      thanks,
      minita

      • Hi minita,

The transaction history in my CR account looks fine, it's only the tracking email that is wrong. Just thought I would check if there was a general problem with the emails.

        CR Transaction History:
        24-05-2021 First Choice Liquor 01-09-2021 AUD $106.23 $30.00

        CR Tracking Email:
        AUD 7.77
Estimated approval: Up to 100 days
        Store First Choice Liquor
Date of purchase 24 May 2021
        Amount AUD 25.90*

        • +7

          Hi jasonc74,
Based on the information you provided above, I was able to identifiy your account and can confirm that the tracking email you received contained the initial information that was reported to us by FCL. Within 2 minutes of you receiving that email, FCL made an auto adjustment to the sale and cashback amounts which are now reflected correctly in your Cashrewards account.
So in answer to your question, there is nothing wrong with the tracking email itself, but rather with the way FCL reported it in the first place.
          I hope that helps!
          minita

      High sodium content?

  • Nice, used Cashrewards for my first purchase in 3 years.

It says approval can take up to 100 days. Is this true or does it usually get approved quicker than that?

    • True

    • +2

They usually take all the time, but they've always paid me.

  • Hi minita, made an order 10 mins ago for $120 in total. no tracking confirmation received yet. when will it be received?

    • please ignore me. it just came in. all good. $30 tracked.

  • Hi Minita,
Part of my purchase via Cashrewards app was with existing PayPal credit (not a giftcard) about 1 hr ago and still not tracked .

It should still track correct ?

    • +1

      3hrs, no tracking yet :(

      • +1

Half that for me but same - no tracking.

Seems every time I purchase from FCL, LL or BWS I have to go thru the rigmarole of putting in a claim.

Worst experience was with BWS. After the usual communications back and forth and attempts by BWS to fob me off I had to "threaten" them with a complaint to the ACCC about false advertising to get action. Subsequently turned out to be a technical problem between shopback and the store, but a massive waste of my time and energy. These cash back providers and the associated businesses really need regulation.

        • Likewise. No Trackback noted and like yourself FCL and BWS are always an issue for me with Cashrewards. Dans is always fine. I now screen record my transactions as fed up with constant hassle. I just send them the Vid if ever any questions.

  • Cashback tracked in 7 minutes. Cheers!

  • 4 hrs, no tracking here yet either.

    • Nearly 6 hours and nothing here.

      • So I guess we need to chase this up via cash rewards ? I hope this isn’t too much of a time waste.

        • Notification is 1-7 days.

          • @[Deactivated]: 3 hours waiting here… hopefully we all get it approved.

          • +1

@[Deactivated]: Nah…..if it doesn't arrive within the first few hours (or at most 1 day)…it never arrives (personal experience).

            • @Borg: Same. I wrote that because my experience has been that if you put in an early claim CR will ask you to wait, as kerfuffle wrote below. Should have clarified.

        • How do we do that? I click "Missing a claim" and it shows Firstchoice, but no "Make claim" button -_-

          • +1

@Awsam: You have to wait seven days i.e. you can't make a claim until Monday the 31st

          • @Awsam: Same here, it shows Firstchoice in my click history but nothing, More than 24 hours now..

            • @SpotOn: Submitted my missing claim now. Don't forget to do yours too if you missed out.

              • @EvilRabbit: Just have to wait 30-90 days for a resolution. I can feel a complaint to the ACCC - about Colesworth merchants in particular and the under-regulated cashback industry in general - coming on.

              • @EvilRabbit: I ended up not picking up my order in time due to lockdown in Melbourne and the store was > 5kms. I got an sms saying order will be cancelled.

    • Maybe try the CR App next time; tracks within minutes every time I take advantage of boosted FCL cashback

  • Is anyone else having trouble ordering? Have never had a problem in the past but it keeps coming up with “The payment attempt was unsuccessful”, have tried on 3 different cards all with money on them to no avail. Called the call centre and they said that no one else has been having problems, would hate to miss out on such a good deal!

  • Tracked in < 5 mins. Cheers!

  • Crown Lager, $50 a slab so 2 for 100 less $10 less 30%.. amazing that it says out of stock in VIC when add to cart.

    • Not too sure what you mean? I just changed my location to Victoria and it's showing fine for delivery..?

Central Melbourne stores are showing plenty of stock too. E.G Port Melbourne is showing $90 C&C without issue.
