Interstate Courier Service

Morning,

A mate of mine mentioned using Sendle to courier wine state to state and that he paid $10 for I believe half a case Melbourne to Sydney.

I just can't seem to get anywhere near that price, Melbourne to Adelaide.

Does anyone have any recommendations, companies that I can look into other than Sendle?

Thank you

Sendle is an aggregator, not the courier company. My previous experience (at least 3-4 years ago) with them is that they pick the courier for any given route and package and the courier is usually a cheapie like Aramex or Couriers Please.

I now almost exclusively use Transdirect - also an aggregator but they provide options on which courier to use. $10 sounds low I am sure I've seen quotes for a few kg from Sydney to Melbourne for the low teens of dollars using the cheaper carriers. Personally I steer clear of these budget couriers, pay a few dollars more and use TNT - I rest easy knowing the package will be picked up and delivered on time.

  • Check out interparcel.com.ah
Cheaper than trans direct in most cases and easier to deal with when something goes wrong.

Been around longer too so they have better rates with a lot of companies.

    • .au lol.

    • Thanks. Used them for O/s, never for local. Don't know why. Will try this week.

    • I just tried for Syd-Bris and Syd-Mel and Interparcel was more expensive than Transdirect on all counts, some couriers by 15% or so, others by almost 100%.

      • Not sure what you did
I just did a comparison and interparcel was cheaper on all fronts.

Might depend on parcel size maybe.

        • What are you paying to send 20kg 40cm cube from Sydney to Melbourne on TNT overnight and Couriers Please 2 days?
