  Love this game, every villain plays differently so it doesn't get boring.
  Will pick up the last expansion I need at that price, and very tempted to get the Marvel one…

  I would definitely pick up the base game first, the expansions may be OK for 3 players, but I'd never play 2 players - it's really not designed well for that. It's definitely doable, just not fun.
