Great idea indeed, although I don't see many other Group Buy sites taking this approach.
One "attraction" of running a Group Buy site is that you can take people's money first before providing any service (or reimbursing the money to the merchants, as Group Buy sites usually hold onto 50% of the sale for up to 3 months before paying the merchants).
Good luck if it proves to be popular amongst the merchants/service providers.
offerme used to be the same but they dont seem to be working anymore, they were there early on in the game too but everyone seemed to ignore them.
We used to list OfferMe's free restaurant deals .. they were pretty good, lots of buy one meal, get one free type deals. Not sure that their doing now. Last I heard some US company had invested in them, now they seem to be offline.
Until a couple of weeks ago Dealfree was $2 deals. They certainly wouldn't have the hassles of the majority of other companies because they're more of a referral service than resellers, which the others basically are.
Like the concept. Wish all of these group buy sites follow the same concept. That will take away the hassles of refunds, etc. If there was just one more refinement done to the process so that you don't need to disclose that you have a coupon till the service has been consumed. This would take care of the issue of coupon holders being treated as second class citizens.
