MFi is an Apple money grab but I take your point on the risk. My approach has always been to check out the # of orders on Aliexpress equivalent and return the product if anything messes up.
The cable being faulty isn't the issue. Having a poor quality cable that affects the battery in your $1,000-2,000 device is. It's not worth it.
Your phone chip is smart enough to not take a faulty cable.
People have done tests on various lightning cables and some of the highest performing ones weren't MFi certified / outperformed Apples haha.
Again I take your point on wanting 100% certainty but risk-reward is not as bad as you think.

Source?
Does seem a bit dodgy. Someone asks the same question in the Q and A sections which receives a "yes" for certification. Why not advertise then?
I'm 99% sure these are not MFi certified (I don't work for the store). I'm also sure a lot of listings with MFi in the name are also not properly certified either (unless they list out the cert number).
Because it's a lie. Shen H Y doesn't come up on https://mfi.apple.com/account/accessory-search
When you spend $1-2k on a phone, not worth to save a few bucks on dodgy cable like this.
These aren't MFi cables and aren't worth a dollar. Avoid.
