Good idea! Can you recommend one and I'll add it to the post :)
May be this HDMI? 3m is $11.95
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/265080775875
Maybe change the title to tv + $10 item = $900? People can then also find their own. Link above item if you like
This should work, but in practice it doesn’t work on my eBay plus account. Just tested it with the $12 HDMI cable. Total discount is $50 despite having >$1k eBay plus items in my cart. I tried this last week with some $10-$12 items and got the same result.
Can anyone else confirm if they get $50 or $100 off?
@Symbiotic: I think it have to be an eligible item/seller that works with the discount code. Not any random $10 item.
@Buy2Much: yeah
4.‘Eligible Items’ means items listed on eBay.com.au where these terms and conditions are found and the coupon redemption code PPSS1 is displayed in the item listing.
since hdmi cable does not display code ppss1
it would not be able to be stacked in the same transaction
@pinkybrain: That code works from $50 so you won’t see it displayed on lesser cost items even from eligible sellers. Best bet is look first for an eligible seller whose + $50 items display that code. Then look at their cheaper items.
@Symbiotic: 50
@pinkybrain: Here’s something from an eligible seller for $19 (good price for a Targus bag too). I tested it works.
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/254721210581
@Buy2Much: yeah that item works
though it didn't have that code underneath the item
now to find something that is $10+ that is eligible.
btw is this tv any good compared to this
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/402814235299?hash=item5dc99972a3…
OR all these other tv and brands like yokohama?
https://www.ebay.com.au/sch/Home-Entertainment/172176/m.html…
yeah that item works
though it didn't have that code underneath the item
@Buy2Much: what are you redirecting me to?
yeah that item you posted $19 works with the code but you need to pay $909.00
I found a cheaper item that results in $901 price
Pretty good deal.
200 nits?? Really??? How is this even a good deal when you cant even watch it in sdr??
I don't know why you're being downvoted. 200 nits is a huge drawback to this TV.
Why?
Because its too dim to be able to watch properly. Unless its a pitch black room, bright room performance will be terrible
As a point of reference, an oled is about the 900 nits mark and the samsung base au8000 is about 400 nits and then qn90a is 2000 nite.
How do you know that the Australian Hisense 70S5 is the exact same model as the USA 6570G model? I've been looking for a comparison chart between Hisense Aussie models and American models for forever so that I can use the rtings reviews, but I can't find one?
The 6570G was released in India as the A71F and that model here as the S5 (heaps of reviews for the A71F on YouTube)
From what I can see there are no reviews on youtube for the 70" model (this one) and from looking it seems the actual model numbers are (possibly) 70H6570G and 70A71F. Since you claim there are heaps of reviews for this 70" TV maybe you can help by provide a link?
H65 is also android TV is this one???
Postage is showing up as $302 for me. I live in Northern Queensland.
I'm also an eBay Plus member.
Was cheaper just over 2 weeks ago purchased for $829
yep I got for similar price as you two weeks ago, good value at that price point - decent price also at $940
Can you guys comment on the pic quality and motion handling in sport/gaming?
I personally hated it.
Walked into JB and saw hisense next to a samsung and it was night and day. You can see how slow the refresh rate it on the Hisense and its definitely not crispy at all.
for an additional $500 I know where I'm going.
Free Postage for eBay plus members.
I'm an eBay plus member and it's still showing postage of $302 for me.
Signed in?
Yeah. It's not showing as an ebay plus item. Maybe it's limited by distance to the seller.
If I change my address to a Sydney or Brisbane one, I get free postage.
When I put a Rockhampton address it jumps up to $103.
Townsville has me paying for $302.
Maybe because free shipping only to Australian address
Free postage for me not an eBay plus member. Sydney metro
Irritating that Ebay tell people they get free shipping to Metro Areas with Ebay Plus, but then change bulky items so they're not ebay plus if you're outside Sydney or Melbourne
$104.60 shipment to Sunshine Coast (logged in as eBay Plus member)
TV is ok, I have 2 of the 55S5's which I picked up for $495 on sale at HN about 6 months ago for the bedroom. They are OK, have Netflix, Prime and YouTube buttons on the remote, sometimes these will have to be selected twice to get it started as they revert back to FTA. Plays all my files from the NAS, so does the job.
TV is ok
that does not sound that great of a review
For $495 for a 55in…im happy with the TV as its just for the bedroom. Would I buy one as my main TV (at 55 or 70)…no.
are hisense tvs or your one (so same model as this 70 inch?)
any good for general purpose usage
-gaming
-tv
-movies
what you mean by "OK"
is the picture quality not that great?
Also how is the smart tv features (if it has any)?
what other TVs would you get instead?
Had a look in JB a few weeks ago when it was $888 plus delivery. This would better deal including delivery. Good enough for general use but not really for gaming compare with Sony 9000H ($1500 ish for 55 inch.
It seems that is free shipping for NSW resident or Sydney metro residents at least.
I live in Blacktown and is showing Free Postage for me without Ebay Plus.
Are you going to play Tekken on it?
Bought the 50 inch version the other day. Enjoying it for general Streaming, can't comment on gaming performence. Picture quality is good, inbuilt software is good, smooth. Need to have a chromecast or firestick to get access to Disney+ however.
is this use android os?
and how is the experience?
do you think this would be suitable for next gen console gaming (ps5, xbox series x)?
Doesn't have HDMI 2.1 so not really. Unless you aren't that phased
is hdmi 2.1 important for next gen console?
also does hdr on TV make much difference on ps5 or xbox series x gaming in visual quality?
If I get new tv it needs to able to show off the full capabilities of the next gen consoles
so any recommendations for a good value for money TV?
Do we get the new models with 300 dimming zones?
Rather add a $10 item to get $100 off?
