Replacement IO Shields for Older Model Computers

Does anyone know where I can purchase older model I/O Shields - I am putting together some computers to run the CNC machine at a local Men's shed which will be a dusty environment. I have two MoBos I can use but neither have I/O shield and the ones available from China will not get here until July 15. The models are:

B150M-D3H; and
GA-P37A-UD4-B3

Any assistance would be appreciated, however as it is for a donation I am not looking at spending big $$$'s

Regards
Sainter Dad

can't you just cut one out of some sheet metal using the cnc?

I cant - the guys probably can - but I don't have the skills - guess I can donate it as it is and they can do it.

It doesn't have to be metal, a thicker than paper book cover will do the job, and allow you to easily cut out the required holes.

This will do, if all you're doing is to prevent dust ingress.

IO shield isn't going to do much for a dusty environment.

You want positive case pressure with the intake fans pulling through dust filters. Assuming you don't care how it looks aircon filter material works well but you can buy somewhat effective 120/140mm mesh filters for a few bucks.

  • I always thought i/o shields were to prevent static buildup and here it is they are to keep dust out learn something new everyday

    • Maybe both - but there is a definite dust retardation function

      • make them outta balsa wood and wrap in alfoil?

        • you could probably trace it onto cardboard and wrap it in cheap contact (like kids textbooks from 20yrs ago) and it'd look just fine

        • a piece of cloth tape across the back and punch some holes as needed
