Mmmmm, love me some expensive Crust pizza…

Ok, but…. Which are the participating stores? Do we have to visit in person to find out? And how can we not copy the voucher, I mean even printing it is making a copy, no?

    • lol… what gets me is
"With every Upper Crust pizza you order you’ll get a free Aussie pizza" and
in the conditions it is "One Free Medium Aussie Pizza per person, per day when any Upper Crust Pizza is purchased"

      • It should read "With ANY Upper Crust pizza you order you’ll get a free Aussie pizza".

        • +4

spend $24 to get a $13 pizza free.

        • Thanks wxyz234 for breaking it down for everyone.

OzBargainers just want to see the savings and dont care about any mental arithmetic!

  • Maybe you should put the company name in the title? We don't have any of those stores around here.

Crust Mt Lawley, WA NOT participating

    • do you call and ask? or what?

      • yes I called and spoke with the owner Joe. They have only been open for 3 days and he felt that participating in a promotional offer was a little premature.

        • +1

Might be a quiet day for ol' Joe tomorrow then! ;)

I think he's doing the opposite of what new stores should do…

        • +4

thats one way to dissuade new customers from trying your pizzas…

        • samfisher, its actually quite smart, although as you do insinuate he is missing a golden opportunity

        • @Tal, I'm genuinely interested to know why you think it's smart?

I would have thought that giving away pretty much the cheapest pizza on the menu with pretty much the most expensive would have been a fairly worthwhile promotional activity.

Plus, I reckon a startup business that fails to participate in a franchise Australia Day promotion in Australia is liable to be viewed as un-something…unimpressive, no that's not it…uninspired, nah wrong again…unAustralian, that's the one! :p

    • Shame . Got the uppercrust flyer the other day and this would of been a good excuse to try something other than my usual .

  • $24 pizza (upper crust) to get you an Aussie Medium which is a traditional pizza worth $13.

so, $24 for $37 worth of pizza. Effectively 35% (rounded off) OFF.

you cant apply costs to crust like that, its delicious, but soooooo expensive

      • i'm not comparing crust to dominoes like they are on the same level,
i'm just showing the % saving.

The pizza's look REALLY GOOD, but they are hard to purchase at the possible thought of not getting value. With this deal, i can purchase knowing that there's a saving.

        • What I meant, was that if you calculate the costs you might be inclined to go elsewhere like dominoes

In your case, it will probably be good for you as it seems you've not had them before?

    • well it looks like the prices have changed to $26.40.

      Continuing with the maths…

$26.40 for $37 pizza. 29% OFF (rounded off)

  • Nice, never knew there was one on the Central Coast NSW (East Gosford) so we'll be trying them out tomorrow. A nice change from Dominos.

    Thanks for sharing

Don't get caught out by the PICKUP ONLY clause.

  • stewballs, I don't disagree with any point you've raised on a personal level, but I get the feeling the mt lawley manager isn't prepared for the extra business somehow. That's just my hunch, I'd be pretty cheesed off (pun truthfully not intended) if any order from crust was substandard. I'm a proud fresh food person, so I'd rather decline a sale because of poor quality, than disappoint them later on

    • Cheers Tal, that's fair enough. I suppose it's easy for me to sit on the sidelines & do some armchair business coaching, the Mt Lawley mgr might well be in a better position than me to make the judgement. :)

      • I think anyone would be "awww" if they're local store did the same lol

Note. There's a Public Holiday Menu.
    http://crust.com.au/public-holiday-downloadable-nov2011.pdf

So the Upper Crust Pizza will actually cost $26.40 on Australia Day rather than the usual $24.

  • My local store knocked the offer back…. make sure you check with them first otherwise you could be disappointed.

  • My local store also knocked me back, said it was for VIP members only… so i ate a kebab instead

    • VIP members is just free registration at their website I'm pretty sure…

  • I guess I got lucky. We called up at 9:30pm and asked about ig and we got Peking Duck upper crust delivered for $24 plus the Aussie pizza for free. So we got it delivered, plus we didn't pay any public holiday surcharge… Happy Australia day to us!!
