Could be wrong but I imagine they do squat. Thrown in the wash feels way more mild to me than the drawer mechanism I'm using otherwise.
Isn't is the same thing in the end? Surely the detergent ends up in the washing drum with both options? I'm not very adept with the intricacies of washing machines
Genuinely curious how washing powders or their liquid counterparts can affect the lifespan of a washing machine.
Liquids in general perform better than powder especially in cold washes for the active ingredients to activate compared to powder. It’s when you start putting bleach, softeners and other cleaning additives and not running a 90 degree wash at least once if not twice a month that builds up scum and other gunk between the inner and outer drum.
Vinegar and all other such home remedies also attack rubber internal and bellow seals that lead to erosion in them and let fungus and mould build up.
Better to wash always at 40 at least where possible, wipe down the seal after a wash and leave the door slightly ajar, also if possible the detergent dispenser too so that air can circulate and dry out the drum as well.
Once the wrap is gone no difference for the machine
