NBNCO Shortage - Best 4G Provider

Hiya,

Anyone got a way of finding stats for the best 4G provider in certain areas?

Working in Dandenong, get 80-150mbps on 4G with Kogan/Voda
Workmate gets 10-40 on 4/5G with Telstra.

Meant to be moving house in the next week or so, with the NBNCO shortages it looks like I’ll be waiting close to 2 years according to TPG and Optus until parts are available so in the meantime I wanted to find who offers good speeds and prices in the area I’ll be living with a 4G service.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • You mean the NTD shortage?, or way shortages are you referring to?

  • No such thing as a port shortage on NBN… thats ADSL speak

Is the delay due to NTD shortage?

4g is dependent on the area so unless you let us know where you are living we cant give you answers.
you could always look up what network towers and frequencies are in your area.

It’s the NBN HFC NTD that is in shortage but I read that it will restart from the 24th this month. Who knows how long the backlog would be so I am not going to terminate my 4G internet and hold my breath waiting for it.

Your 4G really depends on your reception to the tower and the number of people using the same tower. To prevent congestion, Optus won’t allow new 4G 500GB plans in my area so I bypassed it by ordering it with my parent’s address. After you have moved in just check your reception for Telstra/Optus/Voda. 1/4 bar is bad. 2/4 bar is ok. 3/4 or 4/4 bar is good.
