That's grey import.
I wouldn't buy anything either expensive or that you can't fix yourself (like a tripod) from these guys, certainly not a camera body. Look for their reviews on the net, not encouraging about warranty. For that reason, with Nikon, I'd go with authorised resellers only (https://mynikonlife.com.au/authorised-resellers). Not just for the usual warranty, but you can also extend it for another year when you register the equipment for free.
I dont understand why would a new camera need repair?
I bought a Nikon D5100 from CCwarehouse in 2013 and It was used and put in a box for years, then used again. It fell and the body got cracked but it still works like a charm. I run a photography business and have a NIkon D750 (refurbished bought locally at a premium price as well as 5 Sigma and Tamron Prime lenses) and my gear has never given me any issues and I am out of warranty period since two years.
If you are ok with grey imports (like this one), get it cheaper on eBay for at least $200 less https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/143894310724. It also has:
Australian based warranties including both labour and part. It's equivalent to 1 year Manufacturer warranty
They all say they have:
Here's an anecdote on this one: https://forums.whirlpool.net.au/thread/35xyy2y9
Here's an anecdote on the one from op: https://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/2642471#rr53837097Warranty is the only reason not to go with grey imports.
But again, if you are ok, then at least get the $200 less!Agree. I haven’t bought greys for a while now. Nowadays I could get local versions cheaper than grey imports with the eBay promos or store discounts and factory cash backs.
