Wanted: 4 tickets to the Australian Open for 27th January.

My cousin brother's are coming here for a couple of weeks from overseas and are interested in watching the Australian open. However, I cannot buy the tickets from ticketek website as it is all sold out. Does anyone know of any other place from where I can get the tickets? Does anyone want to sell 4 tickets???

  • There are tickets on eBay but you will be paying a premium especially as that will be the Men's semi-final. Keep looking on eBay as things pop up as people can't attend at the last minute.

    • Thanks for that. Is it safe of ebay? I mean, I have heard stories that there are lot of scams on ebay and I have never purchased a sports event ticket before from ebay. I have bought other stuff though. Should I just do the same checks? Like checking the feedback of the seller and the total no. of people who have left the feedback and a bit of googling?

      • +1

Yep, should be safe with the reasonable checks. The majority of Open tickets currently on eBay are sold by a couple of ticket agencies.

I couldn't get tickets cheaply off of eBay this year because of the high demand but in previous years I have snagged some great deals at the very last minute.

Alternatively, you can just get a ground pass and see whatever games are on the outside courts which is probably wheelchair, juniors etc. Sit in the Heineken garden and watch the games on the big screen.

  • Thanks again. I would keep an eye on ebay and would also think about the ground pass option. Thanks for the advice.
