When I was a teen, during youthweek, they had chats that were moderated, and the best questions per interview won. I won 6 out of 20-something comps.
Some of the prizes were weird (Chloe Maxwells lipstick kissed pants? Im a gay man!) and some were awesome (Boxset of VHS Southpark… I was 15. Also got a Signed Starwars Pen Set that I still have)
I'm a hairdresser, and one of my clients is a lawyer that deals with the comps for a car/4WD company that features people jumping in the air, and she pointed out how much more likely people are to win when it comes to a "words or less" contest.
In the past 3 years, I've won $10k Flight vouchers, a bunch of movie things, a washing machine, a bar fridge, an Xbox, a few video games/gaming merch, a golf club set (I don't know if its an actual set, I dont play, but it has a bag) and 4x$500 Visa Gift Cards.
I will say, none have been easy to actually receive (Excluding the Xbox/golf stuff). It took numerous emails, phone calls and reminders, letting them know I still didn't have the "prize"
I had my nephews at a movie shindig that I flew us to, and we were literally in line (after a month) for the red carpet, when they finally sent the confirmation through
I absolutely despise "number of words of less" competitions.
