Following the one of links in the article shows that Futureshop has a $100 off price for the 16GB model $CA500 to $CA400. But as distinct from the article, it says this offer is valid until Feb 10th.
That said its a "month long" sale with a relatively large discount. And by comparison RIM's Playbook temporary reductions are still in force.
Still maybe an indicator of future pricing here
