      I suppose, the cpu/gpu in macbook pro still pretty killer though in comparison, and well optimised 8gb ram should potentially still beat 16gb ddr3. I was basically thinking macbook air that was the same price.

        Don't get me wrong, I like the M1 Macbooks but the absolute ripoff upgrades suck the fun out them a bit

  Was thinking about buying something with specs likes this, but at this price this is hardly a deal. Redmi/Xiaomi has 11300H, MX450, 16GB 3200MHZ ram and a 3K screen 14inch laptop for $1060, but they only sell in China.

    Yeah this is a bit dated on the inside. Mx450 in particular is a good upgrade that makes a lot more games playable.

        for graphic intensive tasks they are fine tho. take a while before thermal throttling so some video editing is fine
