Hi. Flybuys is offering me 130,000 points if I join HCF and stay for 10 months. I don't have a private health cover and don't know if these points are worth it. Also, there's a 2 month waits waived on extras if I join by Friday 30 April 2021 (today). Is this good or nah? The main reason I would ever join a private health cover, if I ever do, is for dental work, so have no idea if this insurance company is good in that department. Would appreciate if folks who are with them, or have been with them, share their experiences here. Tia

In that case, I'm in!!
So am I. 😀
Do the comparison between insurers,
Spending $6000+ on a premium would be pretty hard imho, how big's your family?(that's $100+ a week), could easily save the $650 by shopping around.Annual premium Total points Flybuys dollars+
$6,000+ 130,000 pts $650Thanks. It's just me. Not married and have no kids. I might just stick to my Medicare and pay up for the annual dental work then.
The Up To in the offer should be what you focus on.
These offers have been going on for a while and very few of them are ever worth it. They'll always recoup the benefits paid to you in some way.Singles are more likely to get ~14-20,000 points.
Ta. Yeah, will give this a miss.

You can still be a daddy with no kids. ;)
@AussieDaddy: In what way?
If you had stepchildren or adopted or fostered children you would class that as having children, at least for the purpose of deciding what private health cover policy you need.
@Quantumcat: Could be the sugar kind.
@Quantumcat: Woosh!
@AussieDaddy: Creepy
If they can afford to give you points worth $650 then you probably overpaying imho
Join private health only if you want to be covered for all the things and get a decent rebate and MLS exemption.
The points and the dental work rebate (almost all have caps) is probably not going to cover the whole premiums.
Yesterday HCF offered me $200 gift card 2 months after joining or $400 after 4 month's.
Is this a public offer or you have to call them to get this promo? Thanks
I think you mean HCF, and not HFC (An nbn™ Hybrid Fibre Coaxial)
