  • Excellent game, easily one of the best on the Switch, just has a bit of a slow start and something of a learning curve to the combat

  • +2

    How is this cheap?

    • +3

Cuz you cannot find stock anywhere

    • +4

Happy to delete, if you could show us a cheaper brand new copy.

    • +1

It's out of print, so hard to get a copy.

      • Really? Saw a few preowns in my local Eb games store under BOGOF offer.

        • Preowned may not have the dlc code. Just the game

          • +1

@ce5himm: Isn’t the expansion sold separately?

          • @ce5himm: Base game doesn't have a DLC code anyway

            • @andehh: My bad, thought he was talking about Torna. Yes, base game comes by itself

        • Which store are you talking about, and are you sure that's 2 not 1? I can't see many on there website.

          • @ce5himm: Riverton in WA I think? I have a sealed 2 so didn’t think about buying one. Might pick up the expansion when I get through all my backlog.

  • Does UK copies have problems with Aussies eshop DLC? That’s a problem with PSN DLC for foreign games.

    • I have no idea about that. Hope someone can confirm.

    • I would imagine it doesnt, since Australia is clumped into the same region as EU anyway. I can't confirm of course

I know on my 3DS, i've installed EU DLC on an Australian rom and it worked out ok

  • I thought they were out of print years ago so surprised they are taking back orders.

The AUS version goes for over $100 on eBay.
Also Torna goes for $300 used on eBay. Good luck finding a copy of that one.

    • Was Torna ever sold in Aus?

I'm still working my way through the first one, and actually really enjoying the combat + story. The combat is similar to DA:O which I did not expect, but absolutely love.

      • +1

Yes. I have a physical copy bought from big w on release. Still sitting in the case part of my backlog

        • I wish you never told me this, now I want the physical copy =\

          • @Butt Scratcher: It was very limited release .

I got lucky and JB hifi had a copy some time ago hidden away

          • @Butt Scratcher: I was in JB HIFI today and picked up two copies of Torna. So maybe clal them up t I see if your local store has it . My friend also picked up one form another store too.

geez ozbargained in an hour :(rlly wanted to grab one esp for my friend

    • As expected, and I think some might brought for sell.
If I haven't got the pre-owned, I will definitely buy this brand new.

      • yeah defs. the resell prices for a fkn game u can download is so expensive holy shit

        • +1

Let's hope xb3 is on the way, and people will forgot this.

      • No shipping date though, it might start shipping when/if Nintendo starts re-printing them rofl

        • yeah but still good to backorder it ahha

        • Is a reprint actually gonna happen though?

          • +1

@Valowick: Dunnoe, people have been saying that it will be reprinted for months now.

I don't know nintendo as a company that hates money, so I can see 2 scenarios.

            1. if prices are sky high, they might be able to coerce people into buying it digitally and make good money. Quite frankly though, the insane prices of switch games is one of the reason I've picked up a hackable switch.
            2. if they can't get enough people to buy it digitally, then definitely there will be a reprint.

I believe something similar happened to zelda ocarina of time on 3ds. Went out of print, price skyrocketed but then they decided to reprint it towards the end of the 3ds life and the value dropped like a rock

            • @Butt Scratcher: it's a 4 years old game, I don't see reprint is necessary for Nintendo. Sell digital makes more money for them. Also there are more games coming and if the new model is coming this year, sure this game won't be on their list.
As a player, I sure hope they will.

              • @ce5himm:

You are describing the exact circumstances when Ocarina of time on 3DS got reprinted

                • @Butt Scratcher: Agreed with that. But you have to admit there are more games Nintendo choose not to reprint in the history. We are not Nintendo, we just hope it will happen. And get what we can get. PLAY.

                • @Butt Scratcher: Also by that time digital copy did not sell this much compare to switch's eshop. Digital is accepted more and more by players these days.

  • This game was $30 a few weeks ago at BigW. I bought it for no reason. Didn't know it was in hot demand. Might have to give it a try.

    • Luck you. Many like us couldn't find one near us

      • I got it from here. I picked mine up from cbd melb. It must be a really good game

        • I picked one as well. I think $30 a few weeks ago was the Xenoblade 1 or Xenoblade 2.

    • You sure you got 2 and not the Definitive Edition of the first? DE was $30 but I didn't see 2 listed that price anywhere.
For the record, both are great, though I'd say DE is a much better overall game and possibly the best game on Switch right now

      • Shows how much I know about this property. You are correct. I got the 1st version. I saw the cover and it looks the same as my version haha

  • I bought this from Target on clearance for $40 when I was buying a Ring Fit I didn't need during COV-ID.
    Both still unused….
I actually just sold Astral Chain that I bought at the same time but just knew I would never play. I think that's hard to get to. I still find it crazy that Nintendo games are so over-priced.
If its really that good a game and you can't get it…I see no reason why people don't just buy it digitally.

    • Someone just like to see it on the shelf and touch the game.
Also it has resell value. Not talking about this one specifically. If you don't want play for any reason, you can sell and invest to your next game.

  • For those still after one copy. EB seems had more copies available in SA WA VIC NSW AND QLD, ,9shops in total. with current 2for one, it's a great deal. Just check if it's close to you. It preowned.

    • All gone, only Gympie store still available

      • OOS now, hope anyone here was able to snag one among those copies.

  • Back order at 73.09+del for non prime members.

    • OOS
