  • How long does a charge take at 5w?

I can see it says my v30+ will only do 5w.

What happens after charging finishes? Is this product "always on" (trickle charging) or does it shut off?

I'm reading about stories of phones being very hot for hours longer than necessary due to trickle charge.

    • All wireless chargers will remain on, they consume power while not being used.

The phone is what is at fault with regards to trickle charge, not the charger. If the phone does not manage battery charging then it may get hot yes.

If you don't mind slow charging then IKEA has the Wireless Charger for $7. Cable is not included, requires a USB C. I bought one and it sits on my desk charging away Airpods and iphone (one at a time of course).

    • Thank you. I like the lower charge for overnight charging.
A good excuse to go to ikea for a cheap lunch too.

    • Thank you :) I prefer the lower charge for my phone over night.

  • 10W is pretty decent for wireless charging. Keeps the battery healthy.

  • Does this charge a pixel 4XL? Doesn't seem to be mentioned
