I know nothing about keyboards but would like to learn to play piano. Does anyone have a recommendation? If I learnt on a keyboard, would that skill be transferable to a piano if I came across one without seeming like a complete dilettante?
I am not expert. I got this piano following an user advise here. I have a keyboard and I am moving to the piano. No, you can't move from keyboard to piano but the opposite is possible. That is why I am moving on. This a great first piano with the real "weight" closer to a real piano. A electric keyboard would never give it to you.
Interesting. I actually thought this was a keyboard - I had no idea pianos came in this format. I did some searching and this actually looks like one of the most recommended models for my use. I'll do some more research and keep an eye out for another deal.
Hello mate, I moved from a keyboard (7 years playing) to piano (2 years playing). The switch to the piano was quite challenging due to the weight of the keys (didn't have the finger strength).
If you are serious, start with the piano. Switching from keyboard to piano is definitely possible, but quite painful
I think Alesis recital pro also comes down to around $630 plus $85 chair is around $715 which is much better better instrument. Yes it doesn’t come with stand but can just put on table or desk and play
