Hello Ozbargain community,
Been searching for a while for a portable stove that uses natural gas (which I assume it's methane). We get our gas from the gas network (Jemena?)
We would like to cook outside on the verandah. There is already a gas socket outside which works ( I can push in the spring loaded seal and gas escapes)
Now looking online I can see several portable stove's, but they are all butane or propane/LPG. I don't believe you can run a stove of gases it was not designed for as the nozzles are different.
It only need to be one burner and it's pretty much for frying chips or fish. We just don't want the smell in the house as the kitchen, dining room and lounge room are quite open.
Does such an item exist, or do we need to do some kinda conversion. There must be a reason why we have a gas socket outside.
Thanks

Btw most BBQs can be converted very easily, you just need new burners.
