I just got the one from ikea, https://www.ikea.com/au/en/p/undersoeka-insulated-travel-mug… says $8.99 but scanned up as $6.49 and is great. Kept my drink warm for 5 hours and the bottle itself a nice slim shape

      These are under rated.

I have one and yes my coffee stays very hot for hours.

Have 2 of the stainless steel 350ml mugs at home, highly recommended for coffee, ice, wine…
Keep my coffee hot and cold for a good 3-4 hours, no condensation
The outer layer is power-coated so it has a really good texture and feels very grippy
Note that the opening on the lid is not leak proof so this mug is not exactly good for travel

Only 350ml of coffee or wine isn't going to last me 3 to 4 hours! :D

Thanks nocure. Just letting you know, you've left your avatar lights on 😋

Imho best thing about these is that the lid fits Nespresso cups. Quite snugly too. So if your Nespresso coffee mug lid is gone, get one of these as Nespresso don’t sell lids separately

I've tried a few metal coffee cups before and they give off a distinct taste when drinking. Decor typically does good stuff, has anyone taste tested milk coffee in these?

Stainless steel is inert so would not change the flavour of your coffee

      • Stainless isn't inert, chemically. There are also different grades, and more importantly different purities. I've had a cheap stainless pot suffer pitting after my first use.

My previous stainless ones did impart a flavour too, so was curious if soneone had used this before and had success.

    • I can't speak for these specific ones but I use a metal klean kanteen and I love it. No flavour at all and it looks good. I bought it because I was sick of the lids on keep cups and the like having an awful plastic taste that ruined my coffee.

My wife was given something like the third one from her work, lid isn't spill proof and they don't fit into car cupholders. Stick to the tall skinny ones if you want to take it in the car.

Seems like stock is quite limited

  • Can we use this with the dishwasher??

    Cheers

    • Ive got a few of these in diff brands, most say they are not dishwasher safe… :(

      • Stanley brand are dishwasher safe

  • Bought mine from Aldi a couple of months ago for like $4-$5, couple of colours and I have to say, these things are bloody amazing, use it everyday to keep the coffee warm for an hour or two as I'm a slow sipper.

  • With the bell bottom, it looks like it will tip over easy.
I would rather get a small thermos instead, and I did

  • I recommend yeti cups instead. They’re so good, and dishwasher safe!

  • Just tried out the 400ml and would not recommend for cappuccino's as the foam stays in place while you take a slip, so all you're really getting is the liquid. The diameter is also narrower than a standard cup of coffee which probably affects how the foam sits, and the lip is somewhat of a hard edge, instead of a rounded smooth edge.

Can anyone recommend an insulated cup for capuccionos?

  • These the same as the SCA special buys Thursday ?

For anyone wondering quoted 3 his for the 340ml clear cup, yeh naah. Not hot after 2 hours of sipping, maybe would stay hotter if more full.
On the plus side, insert lifts out and cleans really well, no staining or dry- coffee marks you get in a regular cup (so far), and the screw lid is easier cleaned than the push-in style keep cups.
Decent cup, worth $6, being able to see how much is left is useful.
Wanted the stainless steel one but this was the only one left on last day of sale - maybe next sale
