gaaaaah so annoying all these facebook giveaways but thanks for posting

  • Nice.
Haven't seen this new range of theirs, glad to get to try it out.

You have to refer 2 friends inorder to qualify

    • +1

      Nah you don't

      • Mine wouldn't progress beyond the point where is says to choose 2 friends. I don't use facebook other than for ozbargain so I have no friends on my profile. When I click on choose 2 friends it just hangs there. That's ok. I'll leave the sample for someone else to make use of.

I only have a fake profile for ozbargain freebies and competitions and you can just add a few ozbargainer or compers who also use fake profiles for these purposes.

        • Read my comment below.

        • Same thing happened to me cwongtech. I had to refer 2 friends in order to qualify for the promotion.

          Proof- http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/585/cupasoup01.jpg/

EDIT- It seems this only happened to me in Opera, I tried again in internet explorer and it worked, it still asked me to refer 2 friends but I canceled that and it continued to the final screen.

    Nice, thanks!

I have a whole drawer in my kitchen full with cup-a-soups, it's good they introduce new flavours.

And yes, you have to bother 2 friends - it is the last step of the process.

    • PRETTY Sure you don't.
If you don't do the 2 friends, and try fill out your info, it goes "No more soup for you!"
Which must mean the first submission process would have gone through.

      • No it means there's a cookie on your computer that says you've already tried to apply for free soup.

        • +1

It's not a cookie.. sign in with a diff facebook account and you can do register for the soup.
They record your email address and that's it.
"Continental Cup-a-Soup Hey Lyndal, if you have filled out the form with your address and email details you will be receiving a sample, you only get a 'no more soup for you' message if we already have your details. We'll check to see if we received your details properly though!"
There you go, no need for the +2 friends.

    thanks for letting us know!

oh and regarding the 2 friends, all you need to do is choose one person from the list, select them but then when it prompts you to post on their wall just click cancel. It will then take you through to the next page and no harm done! :)

  • +1

If you read some of their FB wall posts, comments have been made that 'oops, i forgot to submit to a friend', and Continental have written back saying its all fine.

+1 because you always seem to find the obscure giveaways first.

    And I like your ponytail.

Flatery gets you everywhere (or at least a free sample of cup-a-soup)!

    • Already added with my fake facebook account mate :-)

  • Woohoo free soup

  • Nice long T&C: http://www.facebook.com/note.php?note_id=364934380187393

Still, semi-real personal info for free soup? Yeah, okay.

  • Got mine today, had 3 sent because I used 3 different e-mail addresses, I got pumpkin, tomato, and roast chicken.

  • Got mine yesterday too, but it was tomato flavour (yucky!) so dont think i will be able to try it.
