I’ve nver been to “URANUS” so I can’t help.
Melbourne
Tokui Sushi is where you need to be.
oops bit far, even more specifically around SE 🤣
It's not cheap, but I really like the woolworths sushi. However, I'm no sushi expert, it could be the Mcdonalds of sushi for all I know.
Didn't know WW had made sushi, can't see it online?
Some of the stores have a sushi counter, it’s made fresh throughout the day.
I've noticed that they don't have the sushi counters in Woolworths in shit suburbs. Sorry bro.
Also IGA?
Sushi Hub?
They come in platters & box too!
https://www.sushihub.com.au/
No idea of pricing though? (nvm..)
(storefinder is also kinda broken not showing the closest, i can see a couple near-ish on Gmaps)
Im 100% happy to pay the extra for sush hub. Honestly it impressed me the first time I had it in Melbourne and has proceeded to meet expectation everytime I've had it since then in Brisbane.
It also has liven support. Sometimes they have 15-20% liven credit promos which makes it a no brainer if you want sushi
I went with Sushi Hub and pretty happy with chicken platter so far.
Bag of condiments and free reusable carry bag too.
I know right. Other sushi chains be rationing the soy sauce, wasabi and pickled ginger like it comes out their salary.
Mate I’m buying 4 rolls. I want least 3 soy sauce fish packets . Not 2.
@Jimothy Wongingtons: Why do you need so much soy for 4 rolls?
@DazMon: I like soy sauce with my rolls?
I used to binge on them but after awhile I found them really lacking in quality. Maybe I just got picky
If I was you just google and look for highly rated stores in your area.
A lot of people give mixed reviews on different chains and in my opinion it depends on the franchise as well (example 99% of Sushi Sushi's are franchised now).
I used to work at Sushi Sushi and our owner was pretty relaxed so we could make stuff how we wanted dependant on our customers, they wanted more stuff in they can just ask etc. Different franchises also have different experienced people as some people would come to our store instead of another that was close by even though it was same chain.
All value sushi places are Chinese.
But the best one is Maguro in The Glen shopping centre.
No exactly cheap but way better quality than Sushi Sushi and less overwhelming than Sushi Hub.
IN SE Melb we don't have that much choice.
Shyun in Carnegie is Japanese, as is Suzuran in Camberwell.
less overwhelming than Sushi Hub.
why do you say this, overwhelming in what way?
they seem to go wild with deep fry and sauces, it detracts from the taste, they look great but once you eat a few it starts to get nauseating.
Basically stuff you wouldn't get in Japan.
Sushi Edo is my favourite. Not the cheapest but tastes great imo.
