Looking at the photos close up, they don't look quite as I would expect - where's the 'Levi' on the red tag + the pocket stitching looks all over the place?

Don't know much about Levi's jeans, but that product page does say "juniors". Maybe 524 comes in junior sizes as well as regular women's sizes?
Yes i noticed "juniors" but then looking at the size chart it just seemed to show 'standard' sizes.
maybe they come with a "special mirror" like they have a luna park as the photo sort of 'misrepresents' what a size 19 usually is.
The official Levi's site might give you some clues. It does list the 524 in the juniors range, and has a size chart you can look up. You'll need to translate DealsDirect's Aust sizes to US size first.

I just checked with their customer service people about where these are made, the lady said she doesnt know!
the quality of Levis varies alot depending where they are made and so does the price.
Is there any cheap international sites that ship levis to Aus?
I get them from ebay US or UK. under $70.
