Am with Zuver but they are merging back with their parent (VentraIP). Need a local Aussie company that can park .com.au domains with similar (cheap) renewals.
So far could only find Host Matrix at $10.50/yr which is similar to Zuver. Next up would be comauhost.

It puts a mild level of effort into domain squatting, with the outcome that names are more readily available than in places where there is no such hassle.
It’s a pretty good balance.
I mean, you could go back to when Robert Elz was running it (good on kre for doing so much to keep some integrity in the early com.au name space).

I don't know what they charge, but avoid Netregistry like the plague. I'm sticking with VentraIP for now, don't need to split hairs over a few dollars per year.
There is also Hostmate https://hostmate.com.au/ for $11/yr, which I believe shares the same parent company as Host Matrix and Comauhost
They should consider changing their parent company name to something more digital related. Doesn't instill much confidence when it's sounding like a surf shop.

Australian domains are a total rip-off and you have to have an ABN to get one.. which is an utterly ridiculous red tape requirement and results in so many people setting up inactive ABNs simply to get a domain.
Try and get a non Australian domain.
