Looking to Buy Sony A7S III Camera - Any Point Waiting for EOFY?

Hello people,

I am looking to upgrade my camera to Sony A7S III. It is a pricey camera and any discount or offer will come in handy, because I need to factor in the lens price and SD card as I will be moving from Panasonic to Sony for the first time.

The price in Australia has been hovering around the $5200 mark in reputable stores with Australian stock and local warranty.

I am not in a hurry to purchase but at the same time, don't want to wait too long. Going by past Sony promotions, do they come up with any cashback offers close to EOFY. I believe they had one around the new year time but on select models.

Also, the stores that I am looking to purchase are, Camera Pro, Ted's Camera or Georges Camera. Camera Pro has the best price at the moment. Do any of these stores go on sale close to EOFY period.

Any help will be handy.

  Subscribed… I'm in the same boat.
  Retailers are saying that there has been a supply shortage and as a result aren't willing to move on the price.

  I'd expect that to start changing if it hasn't already.
  It was released about 10 months ago now.

    yah hoping for at least a small drop, but I can't keep waiting for too long. My GH5 is going quite good but low light sucks and yolo ! There is not a great price difference with the grey imports and I rather purchase the camera with local warranty.
    The best price I came across for local stock is Camera Pro. Did you find any other better price ?

  You should wait for when Sony has their cashback offer for Sony A7SIII. I am still waiting for this to combine with any other discount from ebay

    yeah cool, it'll be good for a cashback offer and hopefully they include A7S iii in it.
