Im sure there would be some absolute mint condition gems that could probably be flipped on ebay. Report if you find any.

Charming attitude there, because, hey why let other people get a bargain when you stop them AND make money doing absolutely nothing?

      • Oh, I thought we lived in a capitalist society, or am I mistaken?

        • +4

There's a difference between being a capitalist, and being a scumbag. A good capitalist brings something new or offers a new service, not being a leach/scalper

EDIT: I'll also note that if that seems to be the attitude of the ozbargain community - that scalping is okay - why should I bother posting deals, why should anyone bother? It's to help others get a bargain, not to help you screw other people over.

          @Captain Obvious

why should I bother posting deals, why should anyone bother?

People will screw other people over because that is how most of us are programmed(survival), if you don't post a deal, there are still other people screwing someone else in the US, UK, China, Japan or even The Vatican City(I kid ;)

When you post a bargain, you are helping other members of the community to not get screwed by the people who are screwing other people, as they know the real price of a product. If everyone started thinking that way(ozbargainers), this site would not be as popular as it is now. I bet you everyone here has at least taken advantage of one offer on this website, and that is why I beleive we should post as many deals as we call.

PS: I hope that wasn't rhetorical

        • Since we're all upcoming humanitarians and martyrs why should we even put up any bargains? Every time someone snags a bargain on ozB, that's someone else that will miss out on said bargain. What gives you the right to take these bargains away from people!?

        • -1

Oh of course, because letting other people have nice things as well means that you're practically Saint Theresa! rolls eyes Seriously? There's a huge difference between letting others know about a bargain so they too can take advantage vs. buying lots of the bargain for yourself to make a profit. If you can't figure out the difference, I pity you.

        you snooze you lose
        first in best dressed

        take your pick…

        Surprised people are downvoting you.
I remember not long ago people were condemning the jerks that were buying the fire sale touchpads to sell on ebay…
And when really cheap 360s and ps3s come up there's always someone who buys them to sell on ebay for a profit, and they're usually bashed.
So what's the difference this time?

        • -1

um they actually got OFF their ar$e to GO to the shop to buy the touchpads?

        • um, as opposed to this post that is only available in-store at one location?

I think it might be difficult for him to purchase anything with his arse still on the couch….

        • You would have to be naive to think that reselling doesn't go on, I'm not bothered by it unless they buy it from a deal posted here and try to sell it here at a large markup (it's been done)

      • You are pathetic.

  • Any idea if they have a website or contact number?

    • It's owned by Coles. There's no branch-specific website obviously.

  • google the store?

  • Nice find! Will have a look tomorrow and hope there's still something (decent) left :D

  • Store name and location in title please.

the sunnybank Hypermarket is a pick n pay Coles store. they have xbox classic console games ($10-$15 I have seen before). location google for sunnybank hills plaza. it sits on an intersection with mccas on one corner, sunnybank hills plaza on another, with big w at the calamvale central on the third corner and Pacific Centre on the fourth corner. Fairly easy to find, the hypermarket is on the top level (street level if you take public bus).

    Hypermarkets?
Everything is bigger in Texas, er I mean Queensland

in france and other countries, hypermarket means a very very very large supermarket. the sunnybank hypermarket seems to be a supermarket and a k-mart with some hardware stuff throw in.

      • Most EU countries are following this pattern, Greece and Cyprus confirmed

Look at all those PS2 games! I bet some are quite rare.

    • Tell me about it :(

And I'm not in brisbane. Who wants to post me some games? :)

Probably a good thing I cant read what the ps2 games are in the photo.

    What about ps3 games??

    • None

Well just went to have a quick look and it was pretty disappointing. Mostly shovelware PS2 games with a few interesting titles (Drakengard 2 and some King of Fighters collectors edition). A few ok Xbox 360 games but nothing released in the last 2 or 3 years from what I saw or that was really worth $20. Some really random and old PC games some Elder Scrolls 3/4 expansions, Quake 4, Heroes 5, few online games and Matrix games.
Also some stuff were marked higher than what the banner prices said but had the same reduced sticker on them (didn't bother to ask which prices to go by).

All in all a wasted trip, still have a look if you're nearby I guess.
I do remember from the few times that I've shopped there in the past that they had a pretty poor gaming section. It's like they haven't had any new stock for years.

  • I did take some pic but in my haste (and embarrassment) most didn't come out.
Here's a sample of what they had anyway.
Xbox 360 PGR4, Pro Evolution Soccer 6, Quake 4, Saints Row, Skate, Samurai Warriors 2, Soul Calibur 4, Too Human, Tomb Raider Legend, Test Drive Unlimited, Topspin 2, Rainbow Six Vegas, Advanced Warfighter 2, Ghost Recon, Endgame, Ridge Racer 6, TMNT.
Going through the others now but doesn't look like any of the PS2 pics made it and only some of the PC ones might have. Will post them if people really want to see.

    • Wait, you were embarrassed to take a pic of game(s)? It's not like your doing some candid upskirt photography! Thanks for the nice list though.

  • Saw it ages ago and thought the same thing as yikes. Even at $20 it's still too much for games that are at least 3 years old or more!

  • This 'hypermarket' resells known faulty products to unsuspecting customers. So I wouldn't be taking my chances. The boxes probably have rocks in them…

  • Hope someone picked up that Pass the Pigs DS game in the photo! Gold!

Forgot to mention, this is the same store that absolutely refused to bargain, I offered $15 for Dos 6.22…this was when Windows 98 OSR/2 was out. Their comeback? 'No, it says $155 on the box'. You can guess what I promptly told them!

    • Have you checked to see if it's still there?

      • Haven't bothered going there in years

  • nice find!
