USB Wi-Fi Adapter Recommendations

I currently have a TP-Link TL-WN722N V1 - its pretty old, maybe 5 years old now? It keeps disconnecting every few hours from my wifi network and I have to reconnect it again, which can be really annoying. I use it for my custom built PC because I got this motherboard for it which doesn't come with a wifi card: https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/B450M-A-PRO-MAX/Specificatio…

The problem is the graphics card I got for it (Gigabyte GTX 1660 Super) covers the other PCI slot, so I don't think I can fit a PCI wifi card in there… so do you guys have any suggestions for a good USB wifi adapter/dongle?

  Asus USB-AC68 is great, but years old. Bound to be something new. Look for something that supports Wifi 6?

  Reasonably priced and has fixed my issues with previous random disconnections and poor signal strength.

  Whats your router model? Wondering if it has to do with 2.4Ghz spectrum being the issue. If your router supports 5Ghz then those suggestions here with support for at least 867Mbps on 5GHz are good options. These adapters will support 2x2 MIMO and will help with dropouts. This $50 will do as well if you have a spare USB 3 port (because USB2 max speed is 480Mbps).

    I've used this one too and it worked just fine. Good value for the price.
