Model Name: Breville The Easy Air Purifier, White, LAP150WHT

I don't know how but at check-out it came down to $84.00 (said something like 'fullfilled by Amazon commercial services').

This is the all time lowest on 3camels and at any brick and mortar store you'd be paying around $179.

    It says allergens and small particles. I think it's more for use with pollen and smoke (and odours).

  Replacement filters are $50 which is pretty reasonable.
  I would get this had I not already bought the Xiaomi model from kogan a few weeks back.

      Cheaper even, when on special. But for something you change every 6 months to a year, the long term cost differences are minimal.

      And that's without going into the filter size, assuming the bigger filters last longer, or effectiveness. But it doesn't really matter. If you don't have an air filter, all it takes is this saving you from feeling sick a few times to justify the cost. And if you think air filtration is really important, you'll find a better way to do it yourself, because these appliance type designs are far from optimal, and HEPA medium is cheap.

      These are just midway devices. Not the best solution, but better than not doing anything at all.

    Choice gave Xiamomi recommended with overall score71%, Dust performance score 75% Smoke performance score 78%. Whereas the higher model of Breville LAP300 got overall 41% score and Air plusLAP500 got 69%

    I got both this and the Xiaomi 3H, Xiaomi 3H is superior however it's also more pricey, though on sale quite often so price difference can be negligible. Purchased both during the bushfire season last year.

  I bought one during the bushfires. It got tipped into it's side and the internal fan blade broke from it so I returned it. I cannot recommend it on a durability basis.
