I'm looking for sites that offer free pc games, old platformer type are perfect for my young kids on their laptop. They must be downloadable games because my kids laptop is not connected to the internet, also they should be complete games with no advertising during gameplay etc.

Thanks for the suggestions, however should have mentioned they don't have internet access and the games i was looking for are installed ones that can be run locally.
What you have to do is download the flash files on your computer and then save them onto the computer that is not connected to the net.
The flash files when cliicked on will open in your offline browser and you can play them like they were online.This is what I have done for my 'overly' explorative son.

Flash games can be found -have a google. There are even educational ones. To avoid advts and downloads, you can download the game once and play forewver without advts using a flash downloader plugin for your browser.
