Bluetooth Adapter That Can Handle > 2 Connections Simultaneously in WIN10?

In the need of Bluetooth adapter/dongle as I don't have enough space to install PCIe in this TechFast machine.

Anyone has experience in using Bluetooth adapter that can connect to > 2 devices at the same time? My experience has been horrible so far, please read on if you have time.

I currently owned this adapter, bought from AliExpress and very disappointing as it can only connect to max 1 device at a time, so I have to choose whether to connect my PS4 controller or headset.

Then I had a look at TPlink Bluetooth adapter UB400 but under the FAQ Q9, it states 'UB4A supports at most 6 Bluetooth devices but only 1 Bluetooth device can be used at the same time.' Assuming UB400 is the same as UB4A.

Then I had a look at Targus Bluetooth adapter, which seems promising but after the other two above, I am doubting whether it can connect to > 2 Bluetooth devices at the same time. One of the feature though states 'Add Bluetooth wireless connectivity to your laptop and connect up to 7 Bluetooth wireless devices simultaneously'.

  • Can you get two usb bluetooth adapters?

    • Sound advice, but if he's running Windows he may have a bad time

I know have enough headaches with my Intel WiFi+BT m2 card. And that's 1 card, on the motherboard, by a good manufacturer.

    • Have you successfully implemented 2 Bluetooth dongles in your machine? if so, please let me know because from my understanding, Windows only allow 1 Bluetooth adapter; the moment you install the 2nd, it will conflict and disabled the 2nd.

PS: I have tried 2 Bluetooth adapters and fair to say, it didn't work.

  • Hello OP, I am having b550m and 3060 (I guess similar dimension as you do) But I figure out to put in a PCI bluetooth extension with this.

It looks a bit jamed but works perfectly for me right now.

  • I found this on aliexpress, but I am yet to buy. Do try to find some reviews, and read all of the reviews from multiple sellers before thinking about this. This has been in my cart for at least 6 months and has dropped $20, but i must check that it those price measuring websites over time. Thats also an indicator for how successful these things are.

I dont know why the convenience of dual bluetooth/bluetooth splitting hasnt been introduced to the market already. its been years.

Good luck and let us know your outcome!

edit: The reason I havent bought it yet is because I don't want to press extra buttons to get things working, everything is currently on one remote. I'll purchase after I move house later this year, and hopefully it has been upgraded by then too.

  • +1

I recall I had the Targus bluetooth adapter which I bought a long time ago. It is detected as bcm20702a0 in Windows 10, and after installing drivers, I could get both of my Bluetooth headsets to connect at the same time. Hope that helps …

<edit> maybe buy from Amazon and if it doesn't work, you can return?

  • Most bluetooth dongle should allow you to connect to more than 1 device simultaneously.
Problem is if you connect 2 or more, there will be input/output lag especially for audio.
I suggest getting a headset that has its own USB receiver or do it over a cable.

I used this https://www.ple.com.au/Products/645200/Volans-Mini-Bluetooth… to connect my keyboard, xbox 360 controller, and headset simultaneously over bluetooth but the lag was unbearable. I replaced my keyboard and headset to the ones that have their own USB receiver.
