Jaysus, covid prices are finally well and truly done with.
They are?! *Checks RTX cards
GPUs still nowhere to be seen, heck even RX 580's are worth more now than when I bought mine a few years ago
My 1070 is still worth 500-600 somehow lol
*At least on laptops
Would definitely pick this up if I hadnt been spoiled by 165hz monitor at home.
Most games ain’t hitting anything close to that with this..
Mainly play cs and rocket league!
Can this easily play new runescape and the sims 4 on max settings?
It would struggle running the sims on max settings, you would get medium to high though - from memory the RS engine isn’t very well optimised and only uses 1 thread (someone correct me if I’m wrong).
Do you think it could run it on close to high settings? I might buy this for the mrs
I’ve just done some research and it should be fine to run on ultra. 16gb ram would be ideal.
Also Min specs:

@Nomad2233: Thank you mate
@Nomad2233: Hi Nomad I found this other Asus laptop that costs $180 more than this deal. Do you think the differences are worth $180?

This deal vs
1650 vs 1650ti
9th gen intel vs 10th gen intel
8gb ram vs 16gb
60hz vs 144hz@Bverb: Yeah it would be, the 10th Gen intel shits over the 9th, 16gb ram is always good.
The best GPU to go for would be the1660ti it blows any other laptop GPU out of the game.@Nomad2233: Really? I'm way more interested in the screen lol 144 basically allows you to play games competitively
The best GPU to go for would be the1660ti it blows any other laptop GPU out of the game.
It's a 1650ti not 1660ti
@CVonC: Yah I know, I just meant in general the 1660ti shits on all the other laptop gpus
@Nomad2233: I bought it
$971 delivered with coupon ENTER20

Would buy, waiting for ANZ card to come to put on that balance >.>
Question for TRS: is end purchase price printed on tax invoice, or what price?
I want to say the pre-Ebay discount figure shows on the receipt (full price), but it's been a couple of years since I've claimed one. Good luck on the OS trip! <insert thumbs-up emoji here> 😉
Thank you!
and is eBay eligible? (if you know)
i just sent the seller a message for invoice ;D
My TGG new purchase was, sorry I can't answer more details with certainty, TRS gov link here https://www.abf.gov.au/entering-and-leaving-australia/touris…
@Cheapkiwi: Thanks, yeah just need to get a tax invoice off them should be okay! messaged on eBay
have a good day!
Since they are keeping it a big secret I presume it's 9th gen I5?
Correct. But people still went crazy for these last week when they were selling for $100 more
Yeah, searching Google for the model number "81LK01JDAU" returns a cached Retravision listing
Lenovo Legion L340 i5-9300 8GB 512GB SSD GTX-1650 81LK01JDAU.
(emphasis added)
Reading your comment, I thought you just hadn't bothered to properly look.
But I just had a look through, and damnnn they really are tryna hide it lol. Most they said was 4 cores ahaha
CPU Intel® Core™ i5-9300H (4C / 8T, 2.4 / 4.1GHz, 8MB)
Weight 2.19kg (4.83 lbs)
Display 15.6" FHD IPS (1920x1080) anti-glare 250 nits 60Hzu the real mvp
It's an i5-9300HF
sourceIsn't this a bit on the higher side considering we have 30-series laptops now
What 30XX laptop you can buy for under a grand?
Until we get RTX 3050 laptop there's no way you can get one for under a grand.
None, but also lack of stock tbh….
As I said, there's no RTX 3050 yet so even with lots of stock you won't see one yet. There's no RTX 2060 laptop at this price either, even before covid.
Ah, here we go. Complete specs, after the discontinued, product no longer available messages.

250 nitswould this be a good portable machine for photo editing in lightroom. light video editing in Resolve (1080p resolution editing)? I run a Dell G5 (i7 @ 2.9GHz, 16GB) which flys through the work?
edit: sRGB for this monitor is 49%, not good enough for photo editing!
yes with external monitor only
250 nits, in other words you need to use black out blinds during the day
Just use this
from memory:
- single channel ram only
- 65% sRGB coverage panel, 250nits
- gddr5 variety of 1650, not gddr6 (nitpicking here)if you can live with above (not intending to do content creation or plan to use external monitor for that) it's great value
can u remove the ram and swap with 16gb stick? or is it soldered on
You can remove it as seen in the left here
Will it run some photo editing software such as photoshop etc. smoothly?
Edit: Just got answered above. What type of gaming laptop should I expect out of this will it run the latest games?
gtx 1650 will run latest games at low / med settings
From a quick google, this should have 2 ram slots, with a 8gb stick in one, and easy enough to buy another 8gb stick to slap in the other free slot. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
https://www.notebookcheck.net/Lenovo-IdeaPad-L340-Gaming-lap…
there's only one slot in this laptop
This is a pain
That's a lot of laptop for that price
Would this be okay for emails and ordering from Coles online.
Might need a higher spec :)
Yes.
but may be a little noisy. like a thinner, lighter, integrated GPU laptop would be nicer… but the price is right on this one
Or even a phone. But to each his own.
depends on how many tabs you open
Touché.
Delivery is free with eBay Plus. Excellent price too.
