  • Diablo 3 does not have a release date yet, which was confirmed by blizzard not a week ago.

    • I'd say its out pretty soon however. I also read it has recently been given a rating in Korea, so if review boards are rating it I can't imagine its far off.

  • Waiting for this game almost a decade now

This game requires a constant online internet connection even to play single player. That and with Blizzard trying to squeeze more money from the user with the market concept, this game is not going to see any of my money.

IMO, I'd rather play Torchlight (or Torchlight 2 when it comes out). No offence intended for the OP, but in spite of the discount, $114 is way too expensive for a simple repetitive hack/slash dungeon crawler when you think that popular games (with near limitless playing experience) like Skyrim can be had for $60. I think Blizzard priced themselves out of this one.

    • I'm not taking sides, but this is the collectors edition and the box weight is 1.2kg, that's pretty heavy which means it likely contains a statue/figure of some kind or something else pretty heavy, lots of people will gladly pay the extra for a collectors edition. Having said that, I haven't seen any mention anywhere of a collectors edition being available so what exactly is in this is anybody's guess, that that the fact that Blizzard have stated that the rumoured Q1 release dates are false means buyer beware on this deal.

      • Yeah, its a bit pricey but even Jb will have it for a while at 90, i don't mind the extra 20 for all the goodies, but going to wait to see how much extra ill have to shell out p/m to blizzard to play it.

      • Could come with a concrete box for all you know!

It comes with a Diablo skull USB holder, a 208 page book and a few DVDs which would weigh a fair bit:

        • Gone are the days where a binded book, a cloth map and a token figurine is part of a game… now they get all fancy and call them collectors edition and try to charge an arm for it. :(

Really, you'd rather play torchlight? I found torchlight way to flat and no where near as grabbing as Diablo 1/2, though I must say being able to make your pet cash in the crap items you found was it's main saving point. Not trying to attack you at all on your opinions I guess I'm just shocked by them, my apologies if you took it that way.

      • They both have their perks. I think pure mechanics wise Torchlight was very very good, things such as the pets was a great idea as it kept you in the game while still encouraging you to collect things. It certainly meant I spent a heck of a lot less time in town as I would in Diablo.

That said, it also had very little in the way of a plot and while both games suffered from repetitive enemy designs etc after a while, Diablo felt somewhat more varied.

Really looking forward to both titles currently but.

    • As mentioned, this is the collectors edition. If you don't want the bonus content you can order a standard copy for about $45 currently (http://gamecafe.com.au/Product.aspx?Productid=18289)

      Gamehead - AUD229.40 + 12 = AUD241.40

Now AUD11.40 is a lot for OzBargainers :)

      Happy shopping all Ozbargainer!

      • you reccomend paying via bank transfer and try and upsell to over $150 per sale. In the mean time you get to sit on all that money for the next 3-9000months that it takes for D3 to come out.
        I think im gonna pass.

        • Well, blizzard says "EARLY" this year. So we will see :)

it is all up to you mate, stock is very limited anyway. Good luck.

  • Good deal especially when amazon no longer takes pre-order for the collector's edition.
I take it as a sign that it will be released in a few months.

  • all i need to know is release date.

You mention how you offer free shipping above, however on your site it also states that free shipping has no insurance/tracking.

I was going to order several copies but not if there is no insurance :(

    • Can we get some feedback on this? If my games go missing, then it's not a bargain, it's a liability.

      • +1

You can always choose Courier express or order it not more than 3 per order. You still be able to use Registered post under 3 boxes per order with insurance.

@Havoc-Aus was trying to order 10 so that is not possible for Registered post. Unless he split it to 4 different order.

Thanks rep :) Very helpful live chat

  • I wasn't going to get this game.
But at this price for the deluxe edition, how can I not?

I bought SWTOR from Itraveller the other day, spoke to a dude named Ken. Was pretty friendly and even gave me a little discount after speaking to him on live chat.

  • Does it matter if we pay in full straight up?

    • It does matter if you pay in full straight up. Your pre-order will go to top of the list as confirmed full payment and we ship it straight away to you without asking you to pay more and waiting your reply or something. Well, it is really up to you. A few customer did pay in full but most customer just pay the deposit to secure the pre-order.

The reason we take deposit for pre-order is not that we need your money, it is just to confirm you really want it. If we do not take the 10% deposit, everyone will just order it no matter what and we will expect to receive a mass cancellation. 10% is actually very little compare to other store like EB wants $50 bucks for it. :)

      Have a great night!

  • I'll buy this if you give me a reason to take back my deposit at JB, they claim it will be ~120 and I live next to a JB.

    • If you are sure JB will actually stick to that price then I imagine theres little point. Keep in mind on their website it is currently $137 but, so unless they have given you some form of guarantee then you could get a nasty surprise.

    • If JB claimed it to be 120 and confirm you only need to pay that then there is no reason to change and order from JB since it is just a few dollars different.

However some people did say that JB shipping is pretty slow but i am not too sure about this, just people talking about it on forum etc. But if you pick that up then shouldn't be an issue for shipping since you pick that up from the store.

      Have a great night!
