Motorcycle Backpack $29 @ Supercheap Auto

250

They don't show the locations of stock but there's ~85 left within the company.

There is basically none in Sydney/Melbourne/Brisbane and they are mostly in regional areas.

All I can tell you is there were 3 @ Bathurst, 2 @ Port Macquarie, 1 @ Ballina, 4 @ Swan Hill & 4 @ Mildura last I checked.

As you can see from the comments it is very favorably reviewed.

Enjoy!

Alot of people reporting as Sold Out.

As stated in the description there are still 85 up for grabs.

I will give you guys a little hint. Call the customer service line and tell them you want the number for the credit cards line. From there you give them the item number. They will find it for you and add shipping to the cost and you can pay via Credit Card.

You can do this on the SCA Credit Card Line. The BCF Credit Card Line. And, you can also call the Trade Team and organize it with freight on top (though they are a little less helpful than the Credit Card lines).

Using this method you can get them no matter where you are. The only reason I am posting it here is because I am banned from commercial acquisitions at Supercheap.

    • Any way to order tonight or will we have to compete in the morning?

    • Just out of curiosity, why’d you get banned? Appreciate you might not be able to answer haha

      • I can say this…

Supercheap Auto is a wonderful company. The bosses at Super Retail Group showed me much leniency and kindness and although I didn't get the result I wanted (I put forth a commercial proposal to them) they turned me down with a tremendous amount of respect and gave me a chance to remedy some major legal issues without calling the lawyers onto me. I can't say anything bad about anyone at Supercheap. It's just an incredibly accommodating company on every level.

I am still allowed to shop at Supercheap Auto as an everyday customer (which I am grateful for) but I am just not allowed to target them commercially anymore. It wouldn't be wise to go into great detail about it seeing as SCA is being extremely amicable in the prevailing circumstances.

I was their biggest customer in Australia (well I still am I still haven't picked up a couple thousand dollars in orders just yet). There's basically nothing I don't know about Supercheap and how it works and I am happy to share some tricks and tips here with you guys in the spirit of creating some exciting bargains and building some goodwill after I am gone so I can give back a little to the company that has really helped me so so much.

Please be aware that most of the company (right up to the top level of management @ Super Retail Group) know exactly who I am so I have a degree of accountability and responsibility with what I post as well.

Also, I am not affiliated with SCA in any way, shape or form, and I never was. This is very important.

    • Thanks, just managed to have one ordered with $9.99 delivery charge. Spent almost 30 minutes over the phone and most of the time were waiting.

      • Persistence mate…

    • Thanks OP, ordered one up after 20 min waiting on the CC line. They only charged me $5 for delivery - SWEET.

There is still few for grabs in QLD

      • All good. Reported 20-30 min waits on the credit card line aye. My goodness LOL

I always got straight through no wait at all.

In the morning bud. Add any item to your cart on Supercheap website and you will see a little chat icon thingy when you go to checkout. Chat to the team there ask them for the Credit Card Line Number. That is all you need and you tell them you really want one and they'll find it for you, add shipping and let you pay via CC.

    • Thanks mate, will give it a go.

  • All goods. Works for all clearance lines, all the time.

  • Absolutely devastated i missed this, been looking for a motorbike backpack for a while now!!! ugh

    • You didn't miss it buddy. Read above. You should be able to get one. Tell em Marks Markdown Market sent ya LOL. That's building goodwill for the company even when I'm gone.

  • Got one of these when they went down from about $60 to $45 around Christmas. It’s pretty good quality for the price though I haven’t had much chance to use it (preggers not riding presently). Worth it at the price I paid I think, better at this price of course.

Called , got told its a click and collect item only and they wouldn't ship.

    None in WA

Op should sell me one for $29 from his store instead of $199 since he bought them all lol

    • +1

Yeah OP can you do us an OzBargainer deal 😀

  • -1

Are you really gonna let one little pen pusher on their high horse stand between you and getting this deal?

That's not true Ozbargain mode! Call the different lines I gave you. Demand to speak to managers. Ask why eBay sellers have been able to get their hands on so many but you can't even get one for your disabled son to keep him safe so he doesn't get even more disabled in another motorcycle accident after the helmet you brought from them split and left him with a skull fracture. You know, get creative. LOL.

It's called persistence my friend… this eBay stock wasn't acquired by quitting. So put on your OzBargain hats and get cracking.

Edit - AND DEFINETLY MENTION THAT SOMEONE JUST BROUGHT ONE WITH $9.99 SHIPPING AND POSTED IT ON OZBARGAIN - why can't they do the same for you? What's the reason I am different from this other guy on OzBargain? Please tell me I'd love to know?

Except back when it worked there might have been only 20 people making this request per week, now that you’ve made it public they could get 30 per day or more and decide to shut it down.

      • On the contrary this line was actually set up so that people could purchase things that were otherwise unavailable to them (or so I have been told). The line is only fairly new. For years they weren't doing credit card or gift cards over the phone. So they've set it up for this purpose. I imagine they'd be thrilled at the new life I have given it.

If they cancel it then that would be an indicator for me that they hate dealing with clearance one by one. They can't hate it until they really know what it's like without me. So as an aside, I am giving them a taste of clearance life without me as well. Gotta demonstrate my value to them somehow.

  • I’d like an AMA in the forums with the OP. Anyone else?

    • You can ask me whatever you like. If it's above board I will answer it. Like I said before, I still have an accountability and responsibility not to unleash the masses of diehard ozbargainers onto them nationwide. I just want them to get a little whiff of it and say "Oh God no, he's going to drown us in hagglers and flea market aficionados''

    • Ohh…. it's out there now baby. Out there like bum hair.

      • Thanks for your post and helpful replies to everyone on here

  • I confirm this just worked for me following the steps in the top comment.

Remember this good deed I did for you on Judgment Day please Lord. I also did likewise for your Son, whom you sent to us from heaven.

      • Duly noted, son. I shall have mercy on your soul.

Still a few in Queensland and you can transfer them to your local if you go instore and pay , and no freight charge there .
Also if you are in Noosa there's one, Maryborough 1 , Kingaroy 2,
Dalby 1 , as of earlier today.

    • Yes you can. But to be clear they won't send one from Alice Springs to Sydney as an interstore transfer (usually). These transfers literally happen via staff when they are on their way home or whatever. So therefore it usually only works with surrounding stores (but you can always ask them if anyone is going to XXX anytime soon?) if you know there is stock there. Then you can pay and just be patient till whomever can bring it to you. You can also ring the store holding the stock and do the opposite (ask if anyone there is coming to your local store anytime in the next few weeks) as you need (I think it's called an IBT).

SCA is really good like that. I gotta say there really are no other companies out there that are so customer service centric.

  • Another trick is to just click and collect an item and then call the store and tell them your courier is coming to get it and you just need the weight and dimensions of the box (don't ask them if it's ok. TELL THEM YOU ARE DOING IT). If they query you just say "I actually was going to pick it up myself but (INSERT EXCUSE HERE)". I did this alot when borders were closing all the time and would use the border closure as my excuse as to why I couldn't personally collect my items.

I find that talking really fast helps as it rushes them into not being able to think for excuses and I don't know why, it just seems to work better. I guess you come across sure of yourself when you are basically barking directives rather than asking if its ok LOL.

Doesn't work with this item obviously, but it will with many others.

  • Well they did it for me , you just have to get the right person and give them the item no.

    No fast talking required .

Just ring a quiet store in the morning ,

I got 2 backpacks sent from Dalby sent to Beaudesert for $58 all up .
About what their selling for on eBay for one.
But if you're going to buy eBay plus for the year and get your $50 credit then you could get one for $8 , kind of.

    • Good stuff.

  • Hey man, you are a champion. Thank you

  • All G. Enjoy!

  • Just seen this does anyone know if any left.

    • Add any item to your cart, go to checkout, then you will see a little chat icon. Talk to the online team, quote the item number and ask them if there's any left anywhere in Australia. If there is, use the above methods to get one shipped to you.

    • Ring your local store and give them the item no.559239 and they should be able to chase one up in Qld.

      • Yes this too. But just be aware that when you speak to stores they can only see the nearest 100 stores. They don't have vision of Australia wide stock. So if it's in super short supply, chat team.

  • They are still available from MMM for $199 ;-)

Lol. I shared the love around. I could have easily got my hands on the 85 if I wanted to despite the ban. But this is my way of telling Supercheap that I'm good with or without them. Plenty of other retailers to throw a couple thousand a week at.

  • thanks OP. ordered one delivered to sydney. 5 minute call. Lady was helpful n efficient

  • Thanks Ops, just ordered over the phone, also there're 2 at Kingaroy in QLD, anyone nearby can try your luck

  • Must definitely depend on who you get. Person I spoke to wouldn’t do it for me and could only offer the suggestion of organising a click and collect and getting my own courier to pick it up. Asked if Adelaide was in Victoria or New South Wales 🤦🏽‍♂️

    • A big part of acquiring things cheap is rejection.
