I have a .COM & .NET domain that is coming up for renewal at godaddy.com and instead of paying to renew them i'm thinking i can save some dollars and transfer them out to another registrar. I have seen deals pop up from time to time where a registrar is offering 0.99c domain transfers. Does anyone know of a registrar offing that or similar cheap deal at the moment or near future?

Thanks jason, i already know about godaddy codes. it seems you are right it's about 30% off but i was thinking i can get a better deal by transfering out of godaddy to another "trusted" registrar.
Try Namecheap.com. Their interface isn't infuriating like GoDaddy, and they are cheaper.
Their discount code for transfers this month seems to be HNY12

Yes i have tried Namecheap in the past and loved them but that code makes it more expensive than renewing at godaddy so no deal for me.
I've transferred all of my domains back/over to godaddy because of errors and issues with other registrars, they are dearer but seem to be consistent and have a useable back end. If you do stick with godaddy be sure to google "godaddy code" before you renew there are always 30+% voucher codes floating around.
