Mobile Speed Camera Help VIC While Moving

Hey guys,
I (profanity) up- went 90 in a 70 zone
Was coming up on a moving car in front of me with a paper written sign that I couldn’t read until I got close
- it said “speed tracking device fitted to vehicle” or something like that.
Please help- would the camera at the back be active while that vehicle is moving? Or does it have to be stationary

My location is vic

    “speed tracking device fitted to vehicle” doesn't mean what you think it means. It's not a speed radar.

      But I saw a cage at the back and a camera facing me I think? I’ve never seen a car with that sign on the back ?

        I would say you got off lucky. That cage was probably full of offenders who they caught before you.

    I've seen one of these on the Hume Hwy around Albury. They travel along under the speed limit and get all the drivers who speed past.

    Watch a few episodes of Highway Patrol, the cop can be moving while scanning your speed. YMMV.

    But hey, I don't think you're here to ask for a technical answer, but rather some form of reassurance that you won't get a ticket. I mean you have repeatedly say "I have never seen xxx"

    1. Don't speed.
    2. Don't swear.
    3. Standard sign for company vehicles with speed and location tracking devices to assist in keeping idiots / speeding bad habits down in said company vehicles as part of the PR for said company.

    You are not busted, but you should be.
