The Boost $150 12 month plan is being retired and no longer available.
Any suggestions for an alternative?

You can maybe use a VPN travel router connected to an Australian IP
Like
Hotel wifi/Ethernet -> VPN Travel router (connected to VPN with AU IP) -> travel router wifi network -> phone
You can’t simply connect to a VPN using your phone, as VoWIFI skips local (on device) VPN servers. At least it does on iPhones.
Haven’t tried this but it should work*
No, you can't. If you have VoWIFI enabled phone every time you connect to WiFi phone will enable and access Location, at least on Android, no matter if you have Location hard disabled, your phone will override that. At least that's how Vodafone works on my Galaxy S9.
And yes, VoWIFI if I remember correctly is an IPSec tunnel itself so it won't work with VPN running on a phone.
Interesting - iOS devices have the option to disable location services for WiFi Calling.

If you are that offer ATM, you can continue to recharge for the moment.
Q. I'm currently on the Boost $150/80GB plan or a 6 month plan through the Boost Anytime Plus offer. Can I keep recharging on this offer, or do I need to change to the new Boost Mobile Prepaid offer?
A. Yes, at this time, you can keep recharging on your current offer. Provided you're currently on the Anytime Plus offer, you can keep making recharges based on that offer (including the now-discontinued $150/80GB 12 month offer and 6 month offers). Boost has foreshadowed moving people to the Boost Mobile Prepaid offer in the near future.

Nope.
My 1 year plan is up for renewal but the $150 plan is not available either through the app or on the web or dialling #111#. I was on the old plan and Boost have moved me to the new plan without my knowing and there's no way I can renew on the old plan.
"Boost is in the process of migrating all customers from grandfathered plans to a new Boost Mobile Prepaid Plan over the first six months of 2021.
and
"This update will be automatic"
Kinda sucks.

Have they moved you from the $150 plan to the new one?
They moved me from "Boost Anytime Plus" to "Boost Anytime Ultra". Both plans have multiple price points but they are different.
Here's the comparisons.
Nope.
Just recharged a family member about 2 weeks ago on using the 'old' $150….. Works fine for them :)

Which to trust, WP or boost FAQ page. Hmmm tough choice.
WP and Boost website say the same thing.
Not everyone is being moved at the same time but everyone will be moved over by mid year.
"We’ll be progressively updating all our customer’s plans over the next six months".
You can get the new Boost plan (150GB) for around $10 more if that suits:

Thanks.
But those are for new SIM cards not recharges.
The amount of time and trouble it took me to get the Boost support people to enable VoLTE on my current SIM makes it not worth the effort for me to port out and in again. Also I wouldn't want to take the gamble of buying one and then trying to have the support people apply it to my existing account.
Related question - anyone knows how to make phone think that you're in your home country to use VoWIFI? My corp Vodafone plan supports it only in Australia and refuses to work overseas.
