Sherwood Basic Router Table Kit $395 + Shipping (Was $549) @ Timbecon

20

We have just put up our April sales and this router kit is a particularly good price. I know some people have been looking at router tables recently so hopefully it helps.
This kit was meant to be our "buy this as a base and upgrade it as you see fit". We probably won't be ordering in more of them as most of our customers want a "full" kit. So this is up for a good price until we sell out.

This kit is compatible with nearly all of the Sherwood upgrades that you can buy for other tables. So if you want to add a lift or dust box later, you can.

We also have a heap of router bits for sale this month, so you can buy some to go with the table. https://www.timbecon.com.au/april-sale/routing-with-torquata…

If you have any questions please feel free to ask.

I apologise in advance if it takes me a day or so to respond.

Way too expensive for something one can build at a fraction of the cost. No mitre slots, t track stop block not included, and it doesn't seem to support the easy height adjustment like some other tables.

Whether you can build it for cheaper is irrelevant to the target market.

The equivalent Kreg table, which I have, costs more than double. As does the carbatec version.

30% off an entry level table sounds exactly like a deal.

Please show me how I can build the router table spec you are talking about there with tracks, height adjustment etc for a fraction of the cost of this one.

Once you start adding in the tracks and all those extras the prices do increase a lot.

Be interesting to see this router table plans for a fraction of the cost that have all these extras on them. I have nothing to do with Timbecon for the record other than buying a few things from them a while back.

Whats a router table? Excuse my ignorance. I just have an nbn box thats wall mounted and my modem sits on top of it?

    • +2

      Yup.

It also has a plate so you can raise/lower the router in precise steps, to make sure you get the best signal.

It also has space on the table for all the news articles about how NBN will change the world. Sponsored by Gerry.

And what about all the articles about how it will destroy the world? Sponsored by Rupert.

but by the time the router table arrives it will have been superseded by next generation of NBN technology. Semaphore.
