Seems like a good deal to me given the specs.
Cheaper than the recent deal through their eBay site, and in stock for fast shipping.

Mine doesn't bsod. It freezes during games and doesn't recover. Also if you pull out the power cord while gaming it reboots. Trying to return it now.
typical gaming laptop
if I play some resource hungry game on mine on battery there's no BSOD it will just shut itself down after a few minutes
not as in graceful Windows shutdown, just goes dead and quiet in a second
and you can't turn it on again until plugged into charger.
When I play on charger, this doesn't happen. Probably battery just simply can't output the necessary watts to power it all

Nice specs but god its ugly
The mismatched glossy black palm rest and solid grey body look even uglier in person.
Good deal. Got this for about $300 more last year.
Warning though - the screen quality is what I would consider crappy. It lacks brightness and is dull at the brightest setting.
One of the Dell Audio updates made me lose sound completely; I had to factory reset the laptop to get sound to work again.
Also not sure how well the integrated and 5600M graphics work overall for apps and general use. However I tried running the userbenchmark app and it totally bonked out, it couldn't use the 5600M and the graphics score was dismal.
5600M is a pretty decent dedicated mobile GPU around the 1070 or 2060 (laptop) levels of performance. Looks like AMD has some teething issues on par with what Nvidia had with Optimus not switching graphics correctly. Can you force the dGPU in driver settings?
Cannot get the 5600m to work, even if I disable the integrated graphics in Device Manager.
edit: Error message says
"WARN: skipping AMD Radeon RX 5600M - unable to locate attached display
INFO: Completed GPU benchmarks
.."
Would this be good for light video editing in 1080p 60fps?
Surely there's better around this price point
If you're not gaming the base model M1 Macbook Air is way better for video editing than this laptop. It's damn fast and silent and the screen is actually colour accurate and 400nits.
Edu pricing gets it into ballpark of this price.
100% agree, as long as you don't need Windows
screen sucks.
I've had the top spec one for a while with the 144hz screen, no real issues except for it being a toaster, you could even mine about 5 bucks a day in Ethereum with it if you wanted but GPU vram gets very hot.
Is the screen brighter on the 144hz panel too?
300 nits vs 250. Both suffer from the same LCD warping issue where the LCD is excessively taped to the frame causing deformity (presents as yellow spots on bottom corners of screen that gets worse over time)
Is this output greater than a 1080Ti?
if it didn't have this crappy screen, it would have been a good deal.
Solid specs for a good price, however its let down by an extremely dated looking chassis, poor cooling and underwhelming screen. Buyer beware.
Once bought a dell, it didn't sit right because they didn't install the hdd properly in a way where it bent the bottom panel outwards.
Owned it for a day and then after the refund never bought a dell again
will this run Among Us?
ngl that dell looking sus
Great price for specs is that coupon code also for real? Lol
Does the code really reference Keanu Reaves? Like that'd be cool, but why?
I have no idea. I have previously tried to find out, but unsuccessfully. Yes, that would be cool.
Even if the screen is garbage this would make a good desktop replacement.
What is the Hash rate for ETH on this one?
I got ~36Mh/s
seems decent. how often does it bsod from gaming?
