@[Deactivated]: Didn't used to believe this, but for some reason maccas cheese burgers meat are starting to taste kinda like wet salt in my mouth.
I guess grilling the meat patty really does make a difference vs steaming. Even if both patties are just slabs of soft meat.

A real burger from the local take away kills these FF places.@dbmitch: It must come down to the franchisee/management. My hungry jacks has turned to crap and won't eat there again because their food just tastes like crap. However the McDonald's actually tastes good now in comparison.
@dbmitch: That's probably because you are maturing. As a kid, it seems that maccas burgers are good. As an adult, they are truely aweful.

Yes you should, but please also consider using the government voucher to support small local businesses that could not remain open or lost significant revenue during the lockdowns.

The "10 nuggets and large chips" deal has disappeared. It's been on the vouchers for years - albeit rising somewhat in price.
It's a terrible shame.
Pretty sad. Exactly 5 years ago it was like $4.45 or so. Was a good post gym session. Now they’re up 50%. Not sure if I’m income has gone up by that much..

Got this delivered in my letterbox, and the only HJs around here doesn't allow half the vouchers to be used.
Weird stuff like they will do 2 x whoppers for $9.45, but not the with cheese offer for $9.95 (they charge $1 extra per burger on the $9.45 deal, making it $11.45 for 2 whoppers with cheese).
Then gave them a survey redemption code, but they say they need the original receipt code as well (long chucked) & the offer says you only need to present the redemption code.
Tried to redeem a shake a win offer, but wont let you redeem when using a voucher.
I think HJs is over for me.

To me it smells a lot like bait advertising. Ie. I went down as I got a free drink on the shake and win app, and saw 2 whoppers with cheese for $9.95 (voucher and in the hjs app). But it's not until the drive through you find out its $11.45 and not until you are at the window that your shake and win free coke can't be claimed as you have used a voucher and they expect you to pay for it.
Told them to keep it and went to KFC. Window kid called me a tight ass as I drove off..haha… correct! Filled out a complaint to HJs head office. I had a 'one ringer' missed call from Sydney the next day. Tried to call back but it was one of those one way numbers (like eBay). Probably an ACCC reportable thing.
BTW - the store - HJ Darlington SA… Personally advise others to avoid.

Shake and win says it is not valid with any other offer in the app, the vouchers say "Not valid with any other offer including Shake & Win and Seniors card policy". Not sure what the issue is here.
@Hintswen: I'm fine with the shake and win exclusive bit, but tell me when I'm placing the order. That being said, they have accepted both at the same time for years (even though it has said it's exclusive for years). My partner is in the car, put it through for her as a seperate order if you want to go to the trouble of that.
Anyway, my real issue is that they just tried to make me pay for it by not telling me it wasn't free. Ie. I ordered the 2 whoppers with cheese and claimed the free drink on the shake and win.
Got to the window and.. "That will be $14". Assume a lot of people with a large family would never know they are paying for items they thought were free.@tunzafun001: You never stated that you told them you were using both a voucher and shake and win prize when ordering. If you did then that's on them however based on what you said above I assume you didn't tell them when ordering.
Weather or not they have accepted both previously, or if they can or not is irrelevant because the fact is by the terms stated they will not accept both together.
survey requires a normal burger purchase (so, $2 BBQ cheeseburger).
Shake and win shouldn't require any purchase at all, but otherwise, same as above.If you want to use both, do it as separate purchases. That is, buy a $9.45 for two whoppers, pay up, then buy a $2 cheeseburger (or $1 frozen coke, or whatever) and use all your freebies on that second purchase. That's how I've done it before.
Cheers for the tip. I recon I saw the new shake and win update requires a 'purchase'. But i haven't updated. Anyway, I wanted the 2 whoppers with cheese for $9.95… but they "don't do it at their store".
The last two App updates require a minimum of $1 purchase along with Shake N Win (even free items), only if you are ordering thru the App.
If you choose to show the Shake N Win prize at Cashier, there is no minimum spend required and you will get the free items without spending anything.
@djoz: Depends on the store? My local one insisted I had to spend minimum $1 to get shake and win free item.
Sounds like a franchise store (as opposed to a directly owned store). Those can be weird.
If you want to be annoying, contact HJ AU and politely (no, really) ask about vouchers and your store rejecting them. They might say you're out of luck, but they might also tell the store off if they're not doing this right.
wow they're so harsh :( my local hjs not only happily let me redeem the voucher, they won't even bother scanning it.
My local HJs is so strange.
They'll confirm with me every number of the survey redemption voucher and put that through the proper way but don't give two hoots about scanning shake and wini'd love to know why they're so picky about one thing but not the other
