Site to Search and Compare Car Features

Hi, is there a site that allow you to search car make and model based on the feature you want?

I'm interested to get a new car but cannot be bothered to visit all dealerships.
Ideally to narrow down it's feature first (such as: hybrid, HUD, android auto, auto flip side mirrors, etc etc) prior to do the test drive.

Similar to gsmarena for phone, but for car instead

Thanks

    It’s called the internet.

Hybrid knocks out quite a few manufacturers, so start with that. Make a list.

    • Thanks for being sarcastic, I'm genuinely ask for a simple comparison matrix and filter

      • How was that response sarcastic? It is literally the answer to your question.

Search 'best hybrid [desired car shape] 2021'

It will give you a rundown of many major features.

There are ~60 brands, most with at least five models, most models with three to six trims. Car's are usually emotional purchases. If we only looked at features we would all be driving Great Wall/Havel/Chery's or Fotons

The features at the top of my list are reliability and parts availability in 15 years time.

@mapax: Not auto folding in mirrors? Insanity.

            • @brendanm: My car has auto folding mirrors and I have disabled the feature. Just something else to go wrong after the warranty runs out and my mirrors are broken after spending half their life moving unnecessarily.

              • @MS Paint: But they are one of ops main features they are looking for, they must be very important.

          • @mapax: That's a different question. You could buy a crystal ball, use the internet to look at past trends or

Get a double degree in finance and engineering. Work out which professional services companies the 60 or so brands use. Probably start with one of the Big Four. Audit all of their automotive network clients for financial stability, supply chain risks, and MTBF, from manufacturers ore suppliers to their chip foundries. Repeat until you have audited every model from every brand. Repeat for every new model or trim level that enters the market. Retire, enjoying your commute on the train and bus for the last time, never having a complete enough knowledge of the market to make a purchase.

      • If there was such a site, google would have found it for you. From my experience car manufacturers don’t want an easy to use comparison they want you in the dealership.

As This Guy says, they want an emotional purchase. Just look at the advertising it is rarely about features such as you want, it’s all about style, then they want to upsell the premium model because the user wants fancy mirrors. Most of the special features they offer cost them next to nothing but they’ll charge you thousands for it.

Just go to car sales and advanced filter from there. Then just check features / specifications tabs.

Not sure there is a site that does exactly what you are asking.

You can also visit the manufacturers websites and download the brochures. They all have a matrix of features depending on the trim variant.

but cannot be bothered to visit all dealerships.

There is minimal display / demo stock so visiting the dealership won't yield much help anyway.

    • Agree with MS Paint. Using the 'Keywords' feature may also help for things like "Android Auto"

    • This for sure.
If we're talking brand new, you've only got 25 Hybrids available.

If used, you've got about 900 in each state that are Hybrid and have Android Auto but you could cull the herd pretty quick if you mention a budget as you've got everything from a $22k Corolla to a $235k Range Rover in there.

    No… there isnt.

Manufacturers websites are about it.. but its easier to go to dealerships and actually look at the cars and test drive em while your there

if the guy cant handle google, he's probably going to have some issue deciphering how redbook is laid out

its more for industry rather than consumer

  • hybrid, HUD, android auto

For Toyota you have 4 cars:
    Camry SL
    Yaris Cross Urban
    Corolla ZR
    Yaris ZR

That is, if you wanna be that picky!
